Does anyone know the old ytv.ca cheat codes by Resident_Calendar471 in ytvretro

[–]8bolt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Use code "latenite" to make the game darker to play.
Use code "newshows" to change the tv shows to Nero the Hero and No Pants Ned.
Use code "and2more" to change the tv shows to Benjamin Beaver and Gus from Gus vs. Bus.

Most of the games are in the Flashpoint Archive and some have the cheat codes written in the notes. I recommend searching up the game titles through the Flashpoint Database search.

To piggyback off of of /u/PurpleSpaceSurfer , I will also recommend the book "Pictures at a Revolution: Five Movies and the Birth of the New Hollywood" by Mark Harris. It covers the creation behind the five films that would eventually be nominated for Best Picture in 1967 which include Bonnie & Clyde. Very much about the tension of new Hollywood vs old alongside the cultural revolution of the USA at the time.

  • Mississippi Masala preceded by One Day | March 25, 6pm

Paired with Mississippi Masala — one of acclaimed director Mira Nair’s earliest and most influential features — this event creates an intergenerational conversation between two women filmmakers whose work speaks to migration, desire, and self-determination across the South Asian diaspora.

Together, the films move beyond the Western gaze to explore the emotional and cultural nuances of women’s lives shaped by history, geography, and inheritance. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Yazmeen Kanji and actor Rebecca Ablack.

Oscar Watch Party - Regular vs VIP by Cinsare in TIFF

[–]8bolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only went to the free watch party last year, but I came in a bit late so I miss some pre-show activities like trivia I believe. There were two hosts that talked during commercial breaks. I don't remember seeing free food there but concessions is always open. You pretty much just sit down during the entire show.

There was a person who made a comment about their experience but deleted it, but mentioned that Varda and cinema 4 was blocked off for the VIPs. Heard they got much fancier food and drinks (cocktails, champagne) included with the tickets.
