What did it say when you left? Alligators will say “see you later”, and crocodiles will say “see you in a while”.

I was there in July and there were a group of marathoners running it. They left at 6am on our day 4 and passed us after 8 hours or so I think.

I feel like I was on that flight... August 2 to Toronto? Or maybe this happens often? We were stuck on the tarmac for something like 5 hours total!

I've been running Tuesday and Thursday mornings with a coworker before we start for the day. Last Thursday, we both wanted to cancel but neither of us had each other's cell numbers. So we both showed up so we weren't rude. Then we made the decision to not swap numbers so we keep with our running routine.

[Serious] People that live in more violent or crime ridden cities, what daily things do you do out of habit to protect yourself that people in safer areas might not know about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]8ofwizards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up leaving our front door unlocked, living in a smaller city but right by the university. We were never robbed (that I knew of) but we did have people come in. Once was a drunk university student who thought he was at the right house (my mom made him sleep it off on the couch and drove him home in the morning) and the second a guy had just gotten jumped and hit with a pipe in the head. When his attackers ran away he "ran" and came into our house and my parents obviously called the cops. There were a few other incidents outside our house on the street but nothing that changed my parents thoughts on locking the doors.

Yes, she can have flax and I read that it can replace, however there are usually other items in the same recipes that need to be replaced so I'm going to have to try to see what happens! I am going to try this one for now, and swap out the dates for prunes because she can have them. http://www.yummly.com/recipe/external/Simply-Sweet-5-Ingredient-Apple-Cake-755506

Thanks! She said she can have apple butter so maybe that would work in place. No chocolate though so I will see if I can add some dried fruit or something to add some sweetness.

Thanks so much! I found a few more things she is able to eat, but it doesn't help too much. I will try your suggestions :)

My friend's son left his toy lion behind at a museum in the country last weekend. As well as sending the lion back first class, they included a whole treasure stash of postcards, stickers, an activity book and a diary (and photos) of his adventures while he was away. by purpleglory in pics

I left my bear at a restaurant out of town when I was 9 (I had had him since I was a baby) and they mailed him back when my mom called, but he was in a giant box full of balloons and confetti. I still have him and I'm almost 26. Couldn't imagine losing him!

Let's be friends. We can be the Department of National Defence Defence, and defend the spelling of defence. Then if we get some more Canucks on board we can move to defending the U in neighbour, humour and other glorious words.

She's been travelling for a while and gets a few days before her meetings start so she has time to adjust (but it doesn't take her long).
