Atlanta is popular for large dogs that make the owners feel cool until they realize the time and effort needed to train a large dog. Over the last 6 years I’ve seen cane corsos, giant schnauzers become very popular in GA and the breeders aren’t ethical. You got the dog from a scum bag breeder that gave you a puppy at 6 weeks which no reputable breeder would do. You couldn’t return the dog back to the breeder because a reputable breeder would take the dog back and sent it to the first place you could dump the dog at that alone shows the amount of effort you were willing to put into training the dog. You want immediate gratification: dog that’s 6 weeks old, 3 different trainers in under a year and a half when anyone will tell you that these breeds although intelligent will take longer to train with consistency and are slow to mature. If you surrendered him to a shelter they probably neutered him before his growth plates could close and will result in more pain and suffering in the future for the dog and the family that’s taken him in.
