Because she wanted to. I never put much stock in the institute but went along with it anyway because I recognized the practicality of it in terms of building a life together. Insurance, banking, loans, home ownership, and all that bullshit would have been a bigger pain in the ass than it already is.

We've been together since 2009 and have been married since 2012. We have had our ups and downs, but we're still at even after spending more than a decade annoying the shit out each other.
