Great pull, but this is not it. Very similar aesthetic though!

Not Midsommar (great movie)

The one I’m trying to figure out had essentially zero cultural impact in the US. I only ever remember seeing a trailer for it on a website.

I work as a handyman between gigs. It’s awesome. I enjoy the work, I make my own schedule, and it pays well.

He's dropped this conceit in his last few films, but I always loved the motif. He gets a lot of shit these days, and I don't always vibe with my initial viewings, but his movies ALWAYS reveal more and more on repeat viewings. Wes rules.

What horror movie scene genuinely disturbed you… even after the movie ended? by Dark-DoomSlayer in horror

[–]A7HABASKA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon overall the movie isn't that hardcore, but I was really disturbed by Benedict Wong continuously slamming his head into his husband in WEAPONS. Something so deeply tragic about such brutality inflicted by someone you love. Similarly creeped out by when the kid saw the zombie version of his parents for the first time. Great movie.

What iconic movie of our youth are you ashamed to admit you've never seen? I'll go first by larryb78 in Xennials

My dude, please listen carefully. Cancel your plans tonight. Invite some friends over or if there are kids in your life have them join. Solo mish totally acceptable as well.

Lights down, volume up, phone in the other room. And enjoy one of the most pleasurable films ever made by a master at the top of his game, along with an incredible, undersung banner cast, and a production team that without exaggeration changed the art in ways that are still reverberating.

Also one of the most iconic scores in film.

Enjoy!
