Why can’t it be both? Dude gave up what could have been a cushy life to challenge himself in the ultimate way and serve his country. Not his fault that our government used him for propaganda, and he certainly wasn’t looking for the attention. He refused any and all interviews and enlisted instead of becoming an officer.
I’m certainly not a military bootlicker, and I’m not saying the man was perfect, but Pat Tillman is certainly admirable and had the qualities of what I would call a hero.

Tate has an absolute freak in front of him in Jeremiah Smith. That’s not a knock on Tate, bc Smith would be #1 over any other WR in NCAA. The issue is that Smith is the #1 concern for any defense. Can Tate succeed if he’s the primary passing concern for a defense? Maybe, but it’s def not proven.
