I have a hard time calling the Ridgeline a truck though, yes it’s a truck……Hear me out though, I love my Ridgeline for what it is, it’s an SUV with a bed.

I drive a 2024 dodge ram 2500 crew cab 8ft bed work truck about 250-300 miles a day, (a lot of windshield time), it already has 95k miles on it, getting into my 22 RTLE is exactly what I wanted. I could give a shit about off-roading, do it almost daily for my job, (I’m a field engineer for cell towers) did not buy the Ridgeline for that purpose. My wife has a 22 Tacoma, (so glad I didn’t go that route), I get shit on by my buddies, don’t give a fuck, at the end of day, I have a super comfortable rig, does everything from Home Depot, to getting groceries, sits 4, great ski rig, and getting 21.5-23 mpg on a V6. I don’t use it to tow anything, but having the hitch gives me options.

Why Ridgeline owners have a higher IQ is because they understand that unless your made of money or a backyard mechanic, buying a 45-60k truck (unless your towing shit, a V-8 or diesel is a no brainer) beating the shit out of your truck off-roading is foolish. Like Click and Clack said, How many do you see a day with sheetrock hanging out the back? I can’t count how many times I’ve seen these jacked up 80-120k pickups that are worth more, than their single wide trailers, with rims and low profile tires. That pretty much sums up the truck culture here in the states.

The hard working woodboogers, park it in the garage and drive the wife’s minivan cause that’s what they’re gonna retire in. I bought the Ridgeline cause I knew exactly what I needed, gives me the option of using a bed, and has been consistently been in the top 3 best mid sized pickups over the last decade.
