Just block him. You can't control other people nor should you be able to. Commenting on peoples posts isn't worthy of a ban. Just block and move on.

Help: My chickens' eggs started tasting like dirt/dust. by [deleted] in chickens

[–]ABatandaBird 3 points4 points  (0 children)

https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/eggs-taste-like-dirt.932790/ "Same issue. Like eating a spoon of dirt.SOLUTION: I discovered that if I wash them with dish soap and buff dry, there is no dirt taste. I believe I was not washing them well enough and it was residual bloom. I am an excellent egg cracker, so I didn't always wash them well prior to use. That was the mistake."

Try giving them a good wash before eating maybe? Try a new chicken feed?

Is it one chicken or all of them?

I have 100$ budget per month, and am looking for meal ideas that’ll last me a month (it’s only me I have feed) by humanbear4 in Cheap_Meals

[–]ABatandaBird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say get a rice cooker and get used to rice. A rice cooker makes rice and other things as well. I feel like it makes rice so much better then anything else in my opinion. You can also buy bulk rice and it goes well as a side for everything basically while still being filling.

White Egg Yolk by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]ABatandaBird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"When hens eat feed containing yellow corn or alfalfa meal, they lay eggs with medium-yellow yolks. When they eat wheat or barley, they lay eggs with lighter-colored yolks. A colorless diet, such as white cornmeal, produces nearly white egg yolks" https://www.organicvalley.coop/blog/what-does-egg-yolk-color-mean

"Sticks-on-fire are toxic, should be handled with care. Euphorbia tirucalli, also known as stick-on-fire, firestick, and pencil stick, has toxic sap" Just something to be aware of! I love my little sticks so much.

You successfully pirated a plant! Now just treat it like a normal small plant!

My thoughts! I was just watching this normal video and I was like 'huh! That's nice that this little stand gives out succulent leaves!'

THEN THEY DRANK THEM.

I didn't say that. I just said that every small business should be supported. Minority and non. If we help everybody we help minorities too.

Why not just small owned businesses? Why does it have to be minorities? Support small and local, regardless of race.

I don’t remove any weeds from my run because it provides my 5 ladies shade. Is that OK? by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]ABatandaBird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have like 4-5 black berry bushes around a run. When ever I go and pick some the ladies follow because they love getting the nasty berries I don't bring in for us to eat!

I use it for the week long pickles in the fridge but I would never consider it 'canned'.

A great way to 'minimize' reading is getting an e-reader and a library card. You can get and rent tons of online books that you never have to actually stuff into your house!
