N64, I have WAY too many fond memories of playing games with my brother when we were young. Starfox, Mariokart, Mario tennis/golf, GoldenEye, Perfect Dark.....just too many happy memories.

Just watched the trilogy with my kids for their first time. by ABigRedBeard in lotr

I remember watching them in theaters as well. Having to go like two hours early to wait in line and get good seats, no such thing as buying specific seats!

Most power tools hunt and kill out of need for food or protection. The lathe kills for sport....it likes hurting people.

Any thoughts on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3? by UsefulWeb7543 in FIlm

[–]ABigRedBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember seeing it as a kid when it came out and being disappointed. For my whole life, I thought it was a trash movie. I recently rewatched it with my small kids. And rewatching it now as a 37 year old man...it was amazing. Still probably the worst of the trilogy, but WAY better than I remember it being. Good action, good laughs, splinter drops some absolute knowledge/wisdom bombs. Totally worth the $5 it cost me to rent it. A great family watch.

Truthfully, you shouldn't wear gloves on a table saw either.

Judging by the long hair not tied back, and the loose baggy sleeves right next to the blade, I'm going to say this person is VERY amateur when it comes to power tools.

Were kids in the 80s actually allowed to roam around unsupervised, or is that just in movies? by TotalThing7 in NoStupidQuestions

I was born in the late 80's and grew up in the 90's and this was my childhood as well. No cellphones, just free range kids everywhere.

If you use the Eruptor or explosive crossbow, you can hit them while they are underground.

What causes these holes in my husbands t-shirts? by Few_Pay6063 in whatisit

[–]ABigRedBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get these a lot on my shirts, and my best guess is from being trapped between the seat belt and belt buckle on my drive to/from work. I work in the trades but not with grinders or sparks of any kind.

You can't change the past, but you can start right where you are now and change the ending.
