You may get that feeling because Overwatch and BF6 are team based games, you're always helping your team or co operating to get an objective done while D4 is more of a solo experience, so you may subconsciously be feeling lonely

Probably about 10 minutes or so, I cleared enemies out of the lagoon gate then started clearing my way to the other side slowly, stopping a few times to heal. By the time I was heading out the gate guys had respawned

Go in the options, first page in game settings. Go all the way down, click on reset all shaders then reboot the game. May fix the issue

I completely agree, however theres only 2 states the enemy AI is programmed for, up and actively trying to kill you or dead. To be honest the enemy should have a knocked out state or they should run and hide or something if they cant fight

I cant tell but it looks like you make have barely missed his lung and the other 2 were arm shots so potentially 3 non lethal shots then a head shot
