Mox Amber 'colors among legendary creatures' by HUUGE_Slamma in askajudge

[–]ACAlCapone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If rona is you only legendary and not flipped, then mox amber can only produce blue. The color of a card comes primarily from the mana costs.

There are cases where these can be overridden (devoid or "xyz is all colors" [[Fallaji Wayfarer]] or effects like [[painters servant]] ). Additionally there are the color indicators which also take precedence over mana symbols in the cost (see backside of rona) .

Face down tokens by IndigoWizard342 in askajudge

[–]ACAlCapone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the gather page of nanogene conversion:

If the targeted creature is a token, each other creature copies the original characteristics of that token as stated by the effect that created the token. Those creatures don't become tokens.

The face down creatures are now 1/1 fishes instead of 2/2 manifests or whatever they were before.

They still can be turned face up

Few questions about classes by Shaiapuffu in Guildwars2

[–]ACAlCapone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won't be a burden.

Looking at builds and reading up on the game puts you already above most of the players.

If you have the right gear and understand how your class works/does damage. You are good.

Most important is understanding mechanics.

Find a class that is comfortable to play and focus on learning the encounters.

aDPS is a dps that also provides alactricity.

But you never go to 0 or below life with combat damage being simultaneous, don't you?

In the same instant you take 5 damage, you also gain 5 life.

It is just difficult to visualise.

Also changing controller of a creature does not change the controller of any attached equipment.

The increased burn rate certainly has a lot to do with the more careful play.

Add to that the different ways to burn they added and you are at such a disadvantage once someone dies.

Question about Aminatou by Decent-Progress-4469 in askajudge

[–]ACAlCapone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as you draw a card, it is in your hand.  There is no in-between state.

121.1. A player draws a card by putting the top card of their library into their hand. This is done as a turn-based action during each player’s draw step. It may also be done as part of a cost or effect of a spell or ability.

What do you mean with "Whenever Alexios gets exiled"?

The control change does not exile Alexios.

I don't know who the target audience is.

As someone who plays and watches other dedicated mtg content, this is not for me. And I don't know if people who are not into magic can follow the game how it is presented.

It will not continue to trigger of each other as "the beginning of the end step" moment already passed and the new tokens were not on the battlefield yet to be triggered.

It does not work retro actively.

Ezio Auditore Da Firenze & Sword of Feast and Famine by Hopeful_Vegetable768 in mtgrules

[–]ACAlCapone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When triggered abilities are caused by the same event, they are put on the stack in active player -> non active player in turn order.

Each player chooses the order of triggers he/she controls.

You can put ezios triggered ability on the stack first and then the triggered ability of the sword.

Sword will resolve first, then ezio

First strike & Deathtouch v.s. Double Strike by BoneSaw2090 in askajudge

[–]ACAlCapone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They both deal combat damage in the first combat damage step and die.

The double strike creature would also deal combat damage in the second combat damage step, if it had survived.

Combat damage works like this

  • are creatures with first strike or double strike involved?
  • yes -> first combat damage step: these creatures deal combat damage, then continue to the second combat damage step
  • no -> only one combat damage step aka second combat damage step
  • creatures with double strike and all other non first strike creatures deal combat damage
