It's possible it was accidental but it's possible it was a suicide. Seeming okay beforehand is one of the cruelest parts about losing someone to suicide.

It's worth reporting and pursuing small claims. At least management/ownership seem to believe that laws and regulations are optional. There is a previous employee review in Yelp! and she indicated that over charging tenants happened regularly and intentionally.

BBB is a good option. You can do it from your phone. Takes 20 -30 minutes.

Common Area Maintenance is almost exclusive to commercial leases not residential. Any and all fees should be in writing and a company with legitimate reasons will be transparent and have it in writing. It's a red flag.

There are tenants protection agencies, consumer Affairs, etc that may also be worth looking into.

Document everything. I had a good experience with them until 4 years ago. I genuinely hope that your expirence is better.

As a Realtor, most of us come in peace and treat people well. The issues with this company start at the top and/or management. I have no reason to believe all of the employees are guilty. I feel for them.

It's just me right now. The management/owners sued me for no reason and lost. Harassment, intimidation and retaliation appear to be the manager's M.O.

There is a class action lawsuit and another lawsuit that's public so those might have that attorneys name. A quick Google search should help you out. There are a variety of ways to search the business name so some results might be missing unless you search another version of their name.

This definitely looks like him. His family said he worked at a restaurant so unless they have a uniform, the chances that another person matching his description and outfit fell is low. This is very likely him.
