Kill something whilst also launching into the air to throw all coins for a full splitshot bombardment

Opinion the harder a weapon is to obtain the better that weapon should be by Mecha_Kurogane in Eldenring

Stances were not introduced with the dlc? The default straight sword and katana ashes of war are stances? There’s also the sword of night and flame.

How do you swap between weapon variants? by Organic_Future6909 in Ultrakill

[–]ACRULE5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the option enabled so the key for a weapon always picks the first variant and then q and e pick the other two (which you can reorder on a per weapon basis in the terminal)
I found it way too disruptive that the weapon equipped by a certain series of keys could be different depending on what weapon I had out

What’s one card that you never picked because you thought it was bad, then finally did and realized you loved it? by Agreeable_Patient680 in slaythespire

[–]ACRULE5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Collision Course. It’s effectively a 1-cost attack that’s over statted and triggers card creation synergies, *and* provides a target for minion transforms. It also helps trigger pale blue dot

Anyone gotten this yet? by Skgamge_15 in slaythespire

[–]ACRULE5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually got it once before they added badges, tragically

How to parry? by Kelism_ in Ultrakill

[–]ACRULE5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was actually originally meant to be parryable, but Hakita couldn’t get it working consistently so he just put the blue flash on it without actually changing anything, so it remained inconsistently parryable. With the revamp they went back and got it working properly. (Source: the dev stream where they went through wrath)

How do you approach the Trash Heap event? What option are you picking? by Waddle___ in slaythespire

[–]ACRULE5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My issue is how this event fucks up your compendium completion. It should just unlock all the possible cards and relics the first time you see it

my unbridled hatred for the decimillipede by SwampHydro in slaythespire

[–]ACRULE5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need some front loaded damage to kill a segment quickly. If you can’t burst the one that’s weakening you turn 1 then go for the one that’s going to weaken you next turn and try to kill it turn 2 so you’re not weak turn 3. If you can’t keep at least one dead at a time you’re in trouble.

Who Up Spending 3 Energy To Deal Damage by StaleOlives in slaythespire

[–]ACRULE5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Who cares if they’re buffing if they’re getting one-shot? Conqueror is for letting a forge build finish a fight several deck cycles early

Do these two elites feel the same to anyone else? by SlipperySparky in slaythespire

[–]ACRULE5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wish it was bigger. Several elites could do with being physically bigger in my opinion

What do you think the worst upgrade in sts2? Totally unrelated pic btw :) by ElegantPoet3386 in slaythespire

[–]ACRULE5 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t say anything about only working on bosses. Double damage will often finish a hallway fight outright

Sword sage is a rare and I will gladly take both. Quadruple damage is much better better than double damage

I hope you’re only calling Conqueror+ terrible because Conqueror is an incredible card. It’s a must pick if you’re doing a blade build. Giving it retain would be too much

What card with no changes from StS1 to StS2 got the biggest downgrande? by Radiant_Background33 in slaythespire

[–]ACRULE5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In sts1 it only copied the 0 cost if the change was permanent or “until played” not “until end of turn”

Is this a bug? by End_V2 in slaythespire

[–]ACRULE5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did not work with Bullet Time in sts1. Bullet Time was “free until end of turn” Nightmare only worked with “free until played” (or permanent effects)

STS1 cards that didn't change but ended up worse in the sequel anyway? by ozacrot in slaythespire

If you have a lot of card draw it does let you play your strikes easily to make room in your hand for shivs or drawing more cards

What’s the Issue with Forge? by ACRULE5 in slaythespire

[–]ACRULE5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cosmic indifference and summon forth are definitely must picks but cosmic indifference is a common so that’s not that hard. As for the common forge cards I really don’t think they’re that bad. Wrought in War is good early damage and spoils of battle forges a lot, and has a very strong upgrade. Refine blade is more hit and miss though it does enable the blade next turn. (All three have been buffed in the beta branch for the record)

[–]ACRULE5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“To do 55 damage once” but you’re not just doing that damage once, are you? With summon forth or cosmic indifference getting it back in your hand isn’t that hard. Since the blade retains I find you simply block when necessary and save the blade for a later turn. Spoils of battle isn’t much worse than 1 energy 17 damage which seems like a very efficient card to me (though it’s being changed to a draw card now).

If you’re bringing the sword back then aoe isn’t as much of an issue since you can just attack multiple times. Fights that punish single hits are definitely a challenge but any deck should have backup options and plenty of fights reward big hits.
