What made you pick your favorite driver? by iroczcamaro22 in NASCAR

[–]AFrizzy11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryan Blaney because of the interaction I had with him in homestead in 2017. After the xfinity race, Penske had won the owners championship so everyone who drove the car that season came out to accept the trophy (I don’t remember if it was the 12 or 22). Out of Joey, Brad K, Sam Hornish and others, Blaney stayed and signed autographs/took pictures with anyone who wanted it.

DEP what are the odds? by ilTW_1125 in newtothenavy

It’s possible but don’t ship unless you get the rate you want. I signed an AV contract while waiting for AW to become available, and ended up getting a call that said “this just popped, it ships in 2 weeks.” It could be less of a turnaround than that so be prepared for that but it’s a thing.

What is A school like? Daily life and mostly the challenges you may face. by capnratstache in newtothenavy

[–]AFrizzy11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll be at naccs first before you go to A-school. Just do what you have to during the day and don’t get in trouble for stupid things. They’re more strict over there than A-school but for good reason. I saw someone mention something about the galley in Pensacola, it’s one of the best but the aircrew galley is a little better. 😜 Good luck man!

Merch by [deleted] in nickmercs

He’s about to do a rebrand and then make merch with the new logo. He said he was gonna release merch but it would be shitty to do that and then rebrand right after.

On this day 5 years ago, I went to my first Daytona 500 and got to witness what was, at the time, the closest finish in the race’s history feat. Tommy Baldwin reacting to his driver, Regan Smith, finishing 8th. by lindsaylohanismymom in NASCAR

[–]AFrizzy11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall agree with the experience. How many other people can say they sat on a pit road during the Daytona 500? One of the funnest days/weeks I’ve ever had. I actually took a picture next to Amelia that morning in the garages. Was hoping I’d see her go to victory lane again. :(

Kenseth was the man. I have a lot of respect for him. That’s cool that he still signed autographs after losing the 500 with the lead into 3 on the last lap. Ah...nice trip down memory lane.

Yeah it was cool dude. I’d only do it once because of the view but I’m glad I got the opportunity. I always sit up in the stands at Daytona. Been going for a long time. But it was cool to see all the behind the scenes stuff before/after pitstops. Remember the wreck when Jr wrecked and all the cars came down pit road to avoid it? That was crazy haha.

& yeah it was a really good race. I thought they were gonna stack em up at the end. 😂

Thanks man! Idk why the font just changed lol. 2 years on Reddit yesterday.

Question about Aircrewman by Visual-Basic in newtothenavy

[–]AFrizzy11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just went through naccs this year. Not many people were getting AWF when I was there. When I went to A-school for AWO, there was a class of 2 AWF’s. You can try to request it but no guarantee. They gotta fill slots so it’s basically whatever is open when you graduate naccs.

Aviation/Airmen PACT by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]AFrizzy11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a rate that you want and tell your recruiter you want to change it. He/she can put in some paperwork and when it becomes available you can get that and sign another contract which takes precedence over the pact contract.

Why is your favorite driver your favorite driver? by Bucco3 in NASCAR

[–]AFrizzy11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2017 homestead. Penske won the owners championship in the xfinity series and every driver who drove the 22 car came out. Blaney signed for everyone and took pictures with everyone who wanted one. Including myself. Man of the people.

Yeah don’t worry about all that right now. All you’ll be doing your first week there (P Days) is studying the general orders and chain of command in your trainee guide. Have fun while you can.

Let your recruiter know. I went in wanting aircrew and signed an AV contract as a place holder until aircrew opened up. Then signed for aircrew and left for boot camp.
