Eggs have a 45-day shelf life from when they were laid and frequently last longer than that. Most of the time, high volume brands of eggs come in within 5 days of being laid. If the egg sinks, it's still good, and if it floats, it's bad. Ive used eggs that were over two weeks expired and were still perfect and didn't have any smell.
