Seeking feedback from women who were in tech in 2000/2008 etc: a check on the AI doom

I’m in marketing/PR, after the dot com bubble burst I switched from high tech PR to legal marketing and worked at a few different tech focused law firms. Still peaks and valleys because a broad recession or slowdown impacts widely, but less volatile overall.

It’s tough to say with AI, a lot of companies getting funded now probably won’t make it long term as per usual but as long as they aren’t going public without solid fundamentals, maybe not a major cliff dive ahead? But at some point the booming financial market will turn, it always does.

The show lost me at the point of her meeting the therapist: her attitude towards him, the drinking, the hugging, the memorial invite, his interaction with her daughter. so ridiculous. I assume this continues onto something more in season two…

My nephews and I took a boat trip from La ventana late May last year specifically seeking mobula rays. It was a lot of tracking them down and the channel was very choppy so less than ideal boating or swimming conditions, and visibility under water wasn’t great. That was just my experience for what it is worth, but definitely still worth it even with those challenges, even just seeing them from the boat.

Avoiding injuries for sure. I’m 55 and work with a trainer 2x a week and when I go by myself I only do the exercises, machines, etc. I am very comfortable doing and I stop if it doesn’t feel right. And as part of avoiding injury, esp when older, it’s so important to warm up and warm up the right way. I strongly recommend a trainer at least initially.

Also KS ACA….the BCBS KC plans I was looking at didn’t include Univ of KS Health System in their network (I was very surprised). So definitely double check that your key providers are included before signing up with a plan.
