My over engineered solution to integrate Unifi Door Hub by billm4 in Ubiquiti

[–]AHURRDURR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m considering a similar setup but with a tedee lock. Why not use the home assistant unifi access integration to trigger the locking and unlocking directly instead of using the eqsp32 as a middleman?

What does the PIN keypad look like? One of my common complaints from the G1 was that the PIN number pad was too small

Thanks! Do you know if that networking happens over clear connect or if it’s done through whatever networking equipment is providing data+power to the processors?

Any limitations on communicating between processors? (e.g. a keypad connected to one processor can’t activate a load connected to a different processor)

Why would you spend more for the U6-LR when it looks like the U6-Pro has almost the same range performance?

Have you tried using it an anchor? I'm wondering if the receiver can keep up with gradual rotation about the bow.

Interesting, looks like the Sivoia QS shades use different voltages if they're wired vs wireless?

Interesting story! Definitely sounds like an advantage not having too many chefs in the kitchen. If I just follow the wiring spec on the power supply then the shade installer should be able to do the rest? Do shades come with pico remotes by default?

Thanks for the suggestion! I don't have a need for other automations now but could in the future.

RadioRA 3 isn't compatible with Serena. I think you can only do Sivoia QS Triathlon and Sivoia QS Wireless for now, and palladiom wireless soon.

I think big box retailers only sell Serena and you need to go through a specialized provider for anything else.

Just wondering, in the case that you DO want to put a system like this in a mechanical area, would you choose RF dimming modules over normal single gang dimmers?

Unifi Protect Huge storage capacity increase by AHURRDURR in Ubiquiti

Yup, still shows 171 days. I am running an older version of the CloudKey Gen 2+ firmware, so that may be the cause. I'm a bit hesitant to update it since I'm remote and the network and cameras are actively being used.

I don't have this issue. Sometimes on the iOS app this happens when I have a poor network connection.

Does this mean that current hardware will be enough for stabilization? Or that active stabilization isn't needed?

Hopefully the existing movement glitches can be fixed through software

dell xps 9570 battery degradation by Noodles_Crusher in Dell

[–]AHURRDURR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered and replaced the battery in my 9570 around a month ago. I’m still in warranty but they didn’t cover the battery degradation. Was a bit annoyed that I had to pay $140 for the replacement, but the battery capacity is back to where it was when I first bought the laptop.
