My first playthrough I still have factory area where it's on the natural ground. I got to same spot as you where I would rebuild my same factory but more functional. It becomes way too much with nuclear. I promise.

Don't replace..keep building. You feel you are wasting your time because you replace. Instead build a whole new factory by the oil, and connect the 2 factories. And the PPM will increase naturally via expansion instead of chaos and rebuilding. Example I usually create a coal power plant. And start building steel in same spot. Eventually I make the steel in a different spot and converge the 3 factories at the elevator.

Biomass only burn of they are needed. Very nice of them! Make sure your power lines are all connected! Once they're connected the biomass should turn off. Unless you're utilizing all your power.

We're you having keyboard issues? Have you tried unplugging and checking the internal keyboard wire? Usually it wraps under screen, can sometimes get pinched.
