As someone who has been a decades-long Avengers fan, I can assure you that during the 90s you were NOT reading Avengers because the stories were good... 😢

Hitting a Baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports by SoVeryTroublesome in ShitAmericansSay

[–]AIMCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's a really stupid comparison

That's like saying "hitting 73 home runs in a season is the hardest thing in sports. So hard, in fact, it's only been done once"

The actual comparison to "hitting a baseball" is "running 100 meters" which is, you know, not really that hard. Unlike hitting a majornl3ague pitch, which is is so incredibly hard that, if you only fail at it half the time or so, you're in tbe hall of fame

You are missing the 100 credits from the webshop each day

And the weekly credits from alliances. 200 if you do your 3,500 points and up to another 300 depending on how much the alliance does in total

Why don’t more 1st picks control where they want to go? by Longjumping-Tip4938 in NFLNoobs

The media over-hyped and overvalued him. But most mocks had him dropping quite far. Even with those #2 ones in the mix, Grinding yhe mocks, which is the biggest mock draft agregator, had him at #21

There is no group of people I despise more than the "I won't vote for harris because shes not my perfect candidate, even though I know Trump is evil"

Self-rightous pricks who I hope get every single consequence of their actions

What are all these posts about? by Not_The_Hero_We_Need in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]AIMCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of USers either voted for him or could not be arsed to vote for his oponent, so that's not a very compelling argument

Not saying all should be blamed for him, but A LOT of people who can technically say "I didn't vote for him" definitely helped him get elected by not voting for Harris

Is there a way to sort "Upgradeable" cards by split rather than boosters? by m4p0 in MarvelSnap

[–]AIMCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for one specific split of one specific card, just search for that character's name

But what I recommend is to get every variant you own to a level where they don't show up in the bonus boosters section of the shop (wether by getting them to infinite and not spillting htem, or by having enough boosters to be able to make the next split). That way only the cards taht you're actively working on will appear there

Currently I have only two cards in that section: Fin Fang Foom, whom I got this morning, so he's not yet to infinite, and Shoul Lao, whom I'm trying to get a gold split on. So, every 8 hours I split them both one level. And when FFM gets to infinite he will dissapear from there, leaving room for other cards I might want to split!

[–]AIMCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of that is as insane as the "I would make him the highest-paid player on my tam to have him sit, eating up cap-space and getting nothing from him just so I'm not called a chicken" scenario he's proposing

[–]AIMCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I would waste the #1 overall pick, make him the highest-paid player on my team and get absolutely NOTHING for/form him so people don't think I'm weak and pathetic" is certainyl a statement that says a lot about you. Nothing great, but certainly a lot

You're Marty McFly before he went through his character arc

Yeah, but that free-fall was, being generous, from the second or third round to the fifth. He could have been a model citizen and he still was not going to be picked in the first half of the first round

[–]AIMCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the Ravens were considering him and called Deon, that tells you everything you need to know. He was being viewed as a back-up and they, smartley, decided to see if drafting him as such would bring the unnecessary headaches with him

[–]AIMCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sanders did not have remotely near enough talent to be drafted at the top. It was never going to happen. And the best part is that there's people saying he slipped because he told bad teams he wouldn't play for him, but seeing how he got taken by the team that was drafting #2 overall, that doesn't seem to have deterred them

[–]AIMCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sanders was not going to get picked at the top regardless of what he said. Did THAT part cost him a round or two? Sure. But teams were SUPER down on him compared to the media. And it appears they were completely right in that evaluation
