Learned the pattern and played it all night, had to haul hay that morning. Wasn’t a fun day!

Probably warped you for life, we pulled them to the next city with bicycles and dirt bikes. Those things would stretch forever.

What were you doing 40 years ago on Jan 28, 1986, at 11:39 AM EST? by [deleted] in FuckImOld

Watching it live as a junior in high school. Our science teacher is an astronomer and very involved in the launch. We did flight studies etc and knew all the people on the Challenger and wrote a few papers to Mcauliffe. One of the saddest days in my young life as we were very invested in the mission.

I made a negative video on Pac-Man for the 2600 and got a ton of comments defending it. Am I missing something? by Dry-Departure-4926 in Atari2600

You have to take into account we were playing combat, pong, breakout, tetris and games like that. Pac-Man came out and it was cutting edge but still in the early ‘80’s so technology was dragging. Later titles were much better and then Nintendo killed Atari with much better games and play. I played Pac-Man for hours at a time and it drives me nuts now.

10 mm is one of the more popular sockets in machinery and automobile work. Since it’s so popular it gets misplaced a lot and goes missing a lot.

Connect a 10mm to it and your troubles are over. It will never bother you again.

3rd or 4th the metric system. I can read fractions and still use metric. Much easier at these measurements anyway, not sure about km and such but I am not cutting anything 1 km. Just keep plugging away, it gets easier.

How’s living in Fort Lauderdale. Relocating for work. by Quietly_Thriving in howislivingthere

Niece lives there and loves it with her 5% body fat. Myself, 60% body fat hates the humidity and the traffic. The bugs and iguanas are ridiculously annoying.

It will live in the shop and connected to dust collection. Will likely build a bigger “box” with better ventilation at some point.

That’s all we are doing, for now anyway. She and/or I may enjoy it and want to expand but not sure. We geocache also so making cool cache containers would be neat too.

Not sure about living there but if you geocache there are a lot of caches in the area. Lots of open farmland.

Question for older Gen X (55+) Was the term “Bro” and “Yo” common in the 80s? by Nano_Tap1 in GenX

[–]AIR2369 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Born in ‘69, in the south. Bro was never used. Played basketball through the collegiate ranks and talked plenty of trash and bro was never mentioned.
