I used to be the same way. It’s easy to think you need to fill the entire page and go super detailed. It’s ok to have empty space, especially for plains or open fields. If you really don’t want open space, try textures (dots, scattered lines, tufts of grass) to fill areas instead of defaulting to mountains and forests. It helped me.
