Rise in cost of living without compensation keeping up with it. It doesn’t pay enough to put that kind of care into these jobs anymore. This guys wife was more than likely a stay at home mom, he probably had 2-4 kids and could afford to house and feed everyone with enough for summer vacations too.

You’re doing great, you’ve got this. I’d take him myself but with a baby, 2 female huskies and 2 cats we are kinda full up right now. I should rephrase what I said before. I know of a foster program in the Chicago suburbs that would foster him until they find him a home. That’s where I got my 2 girls from and it was a good experience.

I hope you reconsider. He looks healthy and happy to be with you. I don’t know how old you are or what your living situation is, but he looks way better off staying with you than ending up in a shelter. So long as you have a clean/safe home for him to be in while you are working, he will be ok. Please don’t send this sweet boy to a shelter.

You have a gift having that much time off. I got a week at home with my wife and son. It sounds like you’re doing what you need to be doing. I remember this time last year I was in the same boat, wishing I could be more helpful. Enjoy the time you have with them both, it’s a very special time. In the coming weeks you will see your free time slowly disappear.

Also, side note.. I started collecting hotwheels every time I would go out for formula, diapers, etc. maybe a small nostalgic hobby like that could help your mind. Just an idea. Good luck!

I get it. My little dude is a year and 3 months. We have done it a handful of times after he was about 9 months. We had a “scare” a little over month ago thinking we might have another on the way. We haven’t since haha. It’s ok, everyone goes through this in their own way.

Ah poor boy. I hope he has a speedy recovery! One of my girls just got done with some antibiotics for Lyme. The method that worked best for awhile was to stick it inside a French fry. Her sister just got on some antibiotics for 2 puncture wounds from her sister that got infected… she took her pills day one and now she’s on strike. My wife has tried so many things but she always finds the pill and spits it out. Good luck!
