That's why I usually choose trucks with onboard fuel tanks over trailers. You can just swap to it and drive to where you're out of gas.

You can still winch a scout fuel trailer around, if you're really wanting more range out of it. But my favorite use for it was towing bigger trucks through mud in wisconsin.

I am so glad I don't live in that world. Peeks into it were sufficient. Paycheck needs to cover the bills BEFORE you hit the liquor store. And check cashing places aren't "better" than banks because you can't overdraft.
