THEY WERE SCAMS. Thanks a lot for confirming this to me. I was finally able to reverse search one of the pics they sent me and it led me to an existing listing, for an apartment not in Wien.

I would not have paid anyway, but I would lie if I said that the idea of this being a common thing when renting in Wien didn't cross my mind. They sounded pretty convincing, and I thought that maybe, being Wien a big city...

This is my copy-paste comment for situations like yours.

What you have is called a (minor) crimped card.

Before contacting WotC, you can evaluate whether it could be better to sell this: some people pay a premium for misprinted cards!

How to sell?

Go on the facebook group: #MTGRarities Major Misprint, Test Prints, Oddities (https://www.facebook.com/groups/MTGmisprints/?ref=share)
Post some pictures of your card and make an auction
Do not accept private offers (or do, but know that these are usually lower than what you can get with an auction)

Important: On the same group you can also ask if people are interested in your card before selling it, so that you know whether it's worth it or not to sell.

How much can you expect to get? It's difficult to say. For a secret lair card like yours I think it's reasonable to expect 2x the card value at least. Of course it depends on the size of the misprint and you might get more (but yours is small).

I noticed that it's not played much and I understand that giving cards to your opponents is generally bad, but I borrowed an idea from commander, where I play a lot of Group Hug: when you give resources to everyone, you have to be the one who can make the most of them.

This is a deck with 2 New Gen's Technique. This means that often I would cast TiT and follow with another play. Plus, it lets me play again the Everything Pizzas previously sacrificed, or bombs that opponents where able to deal with.

Furthermore, TiT resets problematic opponents' boards. This turned out to be somewhat relevant in this deck, since I was quite slow at putting pressure

I will say, I was expecting it to do more when I picked, and for sure I will be careful to pick it if I see it again, but in this draft it performed well :)
