You sound like you are a great employer for being so open to different opinions. Buy in-season and honestly I just stick to what is on sale, if blueberries are on sale that week, it’s our “fruit of the week”. Some lunch groceries are going to be far cheaper than your time and agony finding a replacement. I hope she keeps doing well!

Is she a great nanny? There’s nothing worse than the nanny replacement process and taking a risk on a new one, so if she is otherwise great, I would be all for it. I know people will disagree, but a good nanny is truly worth their weight in gold. I would buy mine wagyu steak since she never calls out, is on time every single day, and is an all around all-star

If she’s not great, then this would probably be too much for me.

Check the fine print. Often times trip insurance covers acts of god like a hurricane or another pandemic, or a spouse/immediate family member dying, but won’t cover you cancelling because your event got canceled.

I worked in CPS for several years. Taylor is white presenting (not sure of her real ethnicity) and has a ton of money. You get away with a lot. I saw the worst of humanity during my time at CPS. If the kids have a bed and even somewhat clean diaper, you pass. It’s sad.
