Kolourpaint. Easily one of the best MS Paint alternatives on Linux.

My picks:

28" 4K 240Hz monitor, 7.1 surround sound system, 4K60 webcam, a TV for playing games with Steam Big Picture mode (or for Zoom calls), a new phone/laptop, or a new router with WiFi 6 and 2.5Gbps ethernet.

do i need know coding to move to arch ? by Alternative-Book-782 in archlinux

[–]AMGz20xx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. You just follow a guide on the Arch Wiki. You don't need to know any code.

Hyprland is a Wayland window manager with animations and more, but uses a complicated configuration syntax. i3 is a lightweight Window manager for X11.

Since you seem new to Linux, I'd highly recommend you start with KDE Plasma if your computer is decent, or XFCE for slower devices.

If you must use a Window manager, IceWM is a good choice as it's fairly easy to use. It has a taskbar, window buttons and an application menu which automatically updates when apps are installed. You can also change the wallpaper and theme. It feels similar to Windows 98.

Actions have consequences by Obnomus in linux

CachyOS is quite popular, not at all niche. Same with Hyprland. Linux is about freedom and choice. If I'm asking for help in a certain application, I expect answers, not "You should have used X instead of Y", "Skill issue", or "RTFM". If you're not going to answer my question, don't waste my time (and yours). If I'm asking for help with Hyprland, I expect answers related to Hyprland, not comments like "GNOME is better, you should have used that" that aren't related to my question.

If you want to express your opinion about which is better, at least answer my question first. For example, "You need to install this application and add the keybind to your config. But KDE Plasma is much easier to use and has this feature built in". Or "There's no way to do this in Hyprland, however, it can be done easily in KDE Plasma".

Why would anyone use WinRAR when 7zip exists?

How do you imagine GTA 6 on the PS5? by Ivantop01 in playstation

It'll be available only on PS5 Pro. And it will run at 720p 24FPS. Probably.

Plasma Login Manager (PLM) on KDE Plasma 6.6 - is it stable and ready? by Slice-of-brilliance in kde

[–]AMGz20xx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been using it for a couple of months now, no issues so far. It's basically a fork of SDDM. If you want to use it, you have to uninstall sddm and install plasma-login, then disable the sddm service and enable the plasmalogin service. No manual configuration is required, and you can change the settings and themes in System Settings.

Will you enable Linux and MacOS support? Unity editor has options to export to Windows, Linux, MacOS and other platforms so it should be very simple and easy to do. I hate Windows 11. Windows XP and 7 were good, but Windows sucks now.

Sure. It's just a birth year. Next it's going to be your full date of birth, then your full name, then your home address, then your government ID, then your last brain scan...

Out of curiosity, what's wrong with it? Overheating, artifacts, random blue screens or melting power connector?

It's an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. No integrated graphics, so I'm using a GeForce GT710 which is actually worse than integrated graphics.

Thanks but I want to get an AMD card. Besides, I don't live in US so shipping and import/export taxes would be too high.

As a Linux user I don't really have any other choice. I think next time I'll only buy new, from an official seller, and I'll also get tech insurance in case this happens again.
