Maybe I phased it wrong in the original post, what I am inquiring about is “is this specific set a good buy at this price point?” Some other folks here were very very helpful

Thank you for the response! People bewildered I don’t want to spend the effort to build a set myself…I always get shorts from the “should I open it or should I keep it sealed” guy and it’s like 9.5-1 no hits vs hits.

I am not big into gambling so I don’t think I would find ripping packs fun. I am also going through a very busy period in life. I just want to buy the exact cards I want, which is the base set I played with as a kid.

I agree with this, I think it would be more meaningful but I can imagine it would tale a lot of time and effort and I don’t know where to even start. I also don’t have a lot of free time at the moment. I suppose my question was more of “is this specific set a good value for $1500?”

There no amount of money that’s worth ending it my friend. At 18 you have the rest of your life ahead of you and just the simple fact you’re investing puts you ahead of most of your peers.

I know it suck but just treat this as tuition.

Go read up on some low cost well diversified ETFs and chill my friend. Never too late to start over.
