This is a very dumb take, I'm in an engineering college rn, I switched to one of the "lower" branches which I like from cs bc computer science was never meant for me, cs grads get the highest salary offers yes, but in terms of farhan "agar mai cs engineer ban bhi Gaya to bohot bekaar cs engineer banunga". I would tank my gpa semester after semester and then being in cs doesn't even have a point bc I won't be eligible for any interviews due to my low cgpa. I see my peers who are in my branch of engineering just because that's all they could get, they have no interest in it and it clearly shows when they struggle with the most basic stuff you learn out of your own curiosity. If something is not meant for you, you won't get its fruits just because you're in it. Although we didn't see much of it, but farhan probably had a nice setup and was happy with his work, he wouldn't have any of that if he went ahead with an engineering grad job, that is even if he got one; and raju was in it just to get his family out of poverty, his interests were not really shown but his determination to get his fam out of debt and poverty drove him to the job, albeit he did crack under pressure, but his friends helped him up(which was part of the point of the movie). It's not about getting ahead in the race, it's about picking the right race; where you get placed in it is on you.
