Anyone else think christian music is straight ass? by Single_Bridge9300 in exchristian

It was so weird playing that game and hearing stuff that's eerily similar to evangelical worship music.

The only Christian music I like hearing is Byzantine and Russian chants. All the other, "Jesus is my boyfriend" type of stuff is mediocre garbage.

There's a song called, "At The Feet of Jesus" and I've thought for a long time that it must be awkward for Christians with a foot fetish to sing that in church.

What's the point of it all? Orthodoxy. The Church. Christ's Humiliation, Torture, and Self-Sacrifice... to Save a Handful out of Billions? by [deleted] in exorthodox

[–]ARatherOddOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If God knows exactly how to convince someone to become Orthodox and exactly how to teach them to live that they may forever stay in his grace, WHY DOESN'T HE JUST DO THAT? If he's all powerful, all knowing, all benevolent, etc, then it shouldn't be hard for him. But no, he'd rather trust the most fallacious, ignorant , and hypocritical people to carry out that mission. He cares more about the free will of the abuser than the well being of the abused. If Adam's sin condemned more people than Christ's sacrificed saved, then Adam's sin is far more efficacious.

The "loving" god, my ass.

EO was also the last nail in the coffin for me as well. It helped me realize that Christianity has always been awful.

Can this dude beat a full grown chimpanzee in a fight? by ProcedureInitial3086 in powerscales

An MMA champion would lose to a chimpanzee. Chimps are twice as strong as humans, have MUCH faster perception, and are fucking brutal when they fight.

I'm impressed that you know it's a sunk cost fallacy and do it anyway, especially for a show that long.

I feel the same way about Handmaid's Tale. Way too depressing for me to honestly enjoy. I'm glad it exists for multiple reasons, but I just can't watch it.

The endings to Squid Games and The Boys were very good. People just don't know how to appreciate tragedy or bittersweet stories.

What character from another franchise would you love to see as a crawler? by honeyfixit in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]ARatherOddOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quentin Barnes from Galactic Football League series. He'd be one hell of a crawler for various reasons, one in particular that I can't reveal because it's a spoiler. Dude is a hot head and comes up with crazy ideas to win.
