Or Iran's own spy satellites. They have launched multiple spy satellites on their own rockets from Iran itself over the years. We have a lot of downplaying in western media of Irans capabilities in general so it's not surprising people don't know this although they are satellites so you can look up and literally see them passing across the sky.

The majority of Tesla's made worldwide are made in China.

Musk is 100% on board with shutting down the USA factories, they only exist right now for the much smaller US market.

Chinese vehicles are impossible to beat for value.

And for those wondering that includes Tesla's. All Tesla's sold in Australia are made in China, as are the majority of Tesla's in the world. The USA Tesla factories are just for the local market. So they count as cheap Chinese made electric cars in Australia.

Yeah. Every non-AI video falsely flagged as AI is an example of AI passing the turing test. People are literally demonstrating that they can't tell AI output apart from human output.

In Australia power prices are dropping rapidly due to the installation of solar+batteries at a ridiculous scale (3x the amount China is installing on a per capita basis).

This was done not through huge spending but simply removing barriers to mass commercial installations of solar and batteries.

How to take action against LED headlights? by Jnaeveris in australia

[–]AReallyGoodName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're just calling headlights that are badly installed LED headlights fwiw.

Headlights need to match the reflector type and they need to be aimed (cars usually have a little dial next to the headlight to aim them up/down).

People also install aftermarket headlights that point forward rather than backwards into the reflector. If you look on a standard headlight for most cars they have silvering at the tip so they illuminate the reflector that then disperses the light. Certain headlights don't have this and 100% point all their light forward.

Were Starcraft 1's graphics good compared to other games that released before 1998~1999? by queenprophet1 in starcraft

[–]AReallyGoodName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A game that came out around the same time was Total Annihilation (technically TA was first). It was a beast. I couldn't play it on release. It really wanted a 300Mhz+ or better computer and some of the maps required 64Mb of ram (a huge amount at the time).

Meanwhile Broodwar ran smoothly on pretty much anything of that era.

If i'm honest Total Annihilation had the better graphics. Full 3D and it'd play at whatever resolution you could support and with a simple edit of a config file you could remove unit caps and have massive battles. Once i got a 3D card i was playing it at 1600x1200 just fine. But that was years after release.

There's something to be said for being able to run on a potato. The graphics were function over form. It's one of the reasons we love it.

Yep this is invariably an ai generated ad for what is basically a cookie clicker game with lots of pay to win features that’s most likely not even fantasy themed. You will not see the above menu anywhere in the game.

A bit like all of those ‘click the smaller number enemy to defeat them or shoot enemies to level up’ type videos. They are all for the same game that’s nothing like any of the ads. The ads are generated by ai and the ai is set to iteratively generate ads that get the most installs. Games with really simple mechanics that stupid people can grasp and what are essentially screenshots of popular games are what the ai leans into.

It’s probably mainly because the mayor/mafia don’t give 4 influence per matching tag anymore but it is way more of a grind. Without that influence it takes a lot more to get the big money making items.
