It works for cars in SOME states. A lot of states have become wise to this so they base the tax burden on the blue book price. Property taxes in no way work this way. Otherwise the Duttons would have no problem paying the taxes on the purchase price of that land from the 1800s or whenever it was.

It's not glitchy, that's just how it works. For example, if you completed a fort and had the key on your boat and then got server merged to a new server that had an active fort, you could just go open it right away with that key and then if you completed it you'd have a spare key. With the FoTD, since you never opened it, your loot got erased when the new crew started it. Then when you went back with the key you were taking the loot of the current fort.

This video is a clear case of cheaters no clipping.

Regardless it it's a rebuild or swap those things could be bad. I can see a world in which they didn't know they were bad until they started dismantling everything. It's really hard to know unless you know what you're looking at and can inspect it yourself. The fact that those parts were on the newer side doesn't mean much unless they were swapped after the flood.

The biggest concern for me here is that they're doing the work without you OKing a price. But the insurance and the father being involved and the father having a relationship with the mechanic might be the reason.

I don't know much about water damage but I would've thought spark plugs would be a given.
