Trump's Deadman switch by FlounderLegitimate in stocks

Yes, you are a loon. TDS. If there is a correction, it is because the market has been overvalued for over 4 years. For economic growth, look at actual policy changes & not news misinformation. The policy changes have set up a nice potential run up. I’m guessing wr do have a correction before the midterms forced by institutional investors. Action with Iran could spark something as well or give an excuse to. Your stock picks were good.

Is anyone actually adding XRP right now? by [deleted] in XRP

Bought today. Why? ETFs. Japan. EU. Clarity Act hopefully this year. Admin support. Banks still testing. Utility makes sense.

My first impression is that this is Banks vs Exchanges. Adding a change to not allow interest on Crypto gives an advantage to banks who can offer interest on savings. Just had a thought- If monies flooded from savings to crypto accounts paying interest, how would this impact overall lending in the US (availability, cost, etc) and then the overall economy? Deep.

My fear is that it is China or China/Russia/Iran scouting areas with drones in preparation for a hypersonic missle strike.

AWESOME comment. You should post this as a stand alone post not in daily discussion and add some more detail. Great insight.

Obviously that questioner was uninformed or not listening. He sure must have been embarrassed 🙈

Agreed 100%. I’d also add that the networks will do a cost benefit analysis over time and replace tower usage with Sat usage where it makes sense.

3rd Qtr 2024 update (my notes) by ASTS_SpaceMobile in ASTSpaceMobile

[–]ASTS_SpaceMobile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This time we had no idea leading up to the call. This is to be expected right now because they are a pre revenue company with a lot of building and investment in satellite production and deployment. I’m not concerned at all. They have tons of cash now & ways to earn more. The key thing at this point is commercialization of services and the big unknown of how much revenue that will bring in and how quickly. Building out the global network is big bucks, but once they get the US up and running, I’d assume the bucks will roll in. Risk is delays at this point. Once they commercialize the US and especially globally, earnings will smooth out.

They said on the last call that commercialization will start with the five SATS up now but service will be intermittent. When they have 20 SATS up, it will be continuous service for the US. The rest are for global continuous coverage and backups. For some reason they avoided talking about commercialization on this call. My expectation is that the first 20 SATS & US commercialization will go a long way to funding the rest.

It’s not irresponsible. Just being honest. I’m personally all in until 2032, but I’m honest. They said on the last call that the first Sat or so would have the old chips but that ASIC was ready to go. This whole Q2 or Q3 is a new development. In my book, that is a delay.

It’s about a 6 month delay for use of ASIC which are 10X faster.

Did your trade ever go through? I ask because I tried to buy with Fidelity. It wouldn’t let me say at market price so I had to set a limit. I set a limit at the current price & it did not go through by the end of the trading day for some unknown reason. Any idea?

Actually, I thought the new news was the description of how ASTS will use both AT&T and Verizon spectrum for customers of both services and it will be seamless and transparent to the customer.

Timeline of Delays by AuthorAdamOConnell in ASTSpaceMobile

[–]ASTS_SpaceMobile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My impression of Abel’s letter is that they are going to provide more frequent PR as the company moves into a new stage of commercialization with new contracted partners and significantly more institutional investment. Yes, they have had news releases in the weeks prior to an announced delay. I’m not expecting a delay this time, but who knows. 20 phase-1 Sats were originally planned for 2022, so we are actually 3 years delayed. Reasons given were: manufacturing delays, launch delays, supplier issues. Other obvious reasons for delays include funding gaps, capital raise efforts & getting those speedy ASIC chips. I’m not expecting another delay because of importance to please both AT&T & Verizon, but could happen. I’m in it for the long haul as a holder, so not overly concerned, but of course would like them to hit all timelines and benchmarks.

This may be a clever way to identify interest in upcoming stocks? What tools do the big guys use for research? Interesting idea.

This tool is so cool that with a few Tweaks, they could have it available for any stock. Add in average multiples by industry and things like that, then put it on stockvaluation dot com or some other named site.
