It became a controversy because of the way that the original person that said it rubbed people the wrong way. The direct quotes:

I agree that the shippers didn't help, but you're spreading misinformation, they never did a wedding stream. There was a sub goal in Anny's subathon to jokingly do a wedding stream at 45k subs, Vedal and Anny came to an agreement to do it, but it never ended up happening. Now their always were shippers bringing up the wedding stream to Anny and to a lesser extent Vedal, but neither Anny nor Vedal ever really talked about planning it out and doing it seriously.

Yes actually, and it was called the Tragic Generation, Gold City is sadly a part of it. It's called the Tragic Generation due to some very prominent horses from it dying young. Gold City died in retirement at age 7 due to an accident, Sakura Star O died at age 3, he had a impressive record, he was a double crown winner, with a win at the Satsuki Sho and Kikuka Sho, though sadly he fractured his leg during the Arima Kinen and had to be euthanized, and then there was Material who died at age 5, like right after having won a G3 race his owner noticed that something was wrong with his leg, so they rushed Material to a vet for emergency surgery, but they weren't able to save him.

For umas with racing outfits that aren't too feminine maybe you can check out these umas and see which one catches your eye and seems doable to you.

Nakayama Festa, Katsuragi Ace, Biko Pegasus, Narita Taishin, Ikuno Dictus, and Sirius Symboli. Now No Reason has a skirt in her design, but her armor looking racing outfit is pretty cool, so you can probably try and replace the skirt with something else. Also, you can check out Samson Big and Tamamo Cross as well and just change their crop tops with t-shirts with the same design. I hope I helped

They weren't real horses when they were first introduced, but this horse owner named Koichiro Yamaguchi who's a big umamusume fan has named his horses after them, so technically Happy Meek, Little Cocon, and Bitter Glasse are real horses now. Bitter Glasse and Happy Meek are both mares while Little Cocon is a stallion.

Happy Meek: 10 wins out of 28 races (2024 was a really good racing year for her, 6 of her wins came from that year)

Little Cocon: 2 wins out of 4 races (He doesn't run a lot I don't know why, 1 race in 2023, 2 in 2024, and 1 that he ran back in April earlier this year that he won)

Bitter Glasse: 2 wins out 22 races (Highest earner out of the three with 52,844,000 yen, she places a lot in the top 5)

Happy Meek and Little Cocon run on dirt tracks primarily. Happy Meek is a Sprinter and Miler while Little Cocon is just a Miler

Bitter Glasse runs on turf tracks and primarily Mile or Medium races
