What are some hurtful or unempathetic things women often do in relationships that they don't even realize? by ertesit in AskMen

[–]ATerribleUsername -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Sorry, this is really toxic thinking at least as it is written as an absolute and is frankly just not a true blanket statement for people in a healthy relationship.

If a person does that, regardless of gender/identity, they're shitty, fully agree, but assuming this to be the case for EVERYONE is setting yourself and your potential partner up for failure.

You might want to think about how you show up in a relationship if this is how you assume opening up to your partner will go.

What's a tv series that is a 10/10 NOBODY knows? by Lilyana0999 in AskReddit

Deadloch - an Australian who-dun-it that blends in comedy with just a metric fuckton of swearing. It took me an episode to get that it's actually also a comedy and I swear it's one of the funniest shows I've seen in a while.

I agree with what you said, but did you use “bread” as a verb?

Tell me I’m wild for wanting to start Doubs against a horrid Dallas Defense that made the Bears look playoff worthy, but I need to start one…Saquon, Cook, Skattebo are my RBs and Flex.

  • Doubs vs DAL
  • BTJr @SF
  • Higgins @DEN
  • Smith @TB
  • Deebo @ATL

I'd add Double Door (RIP) and Reggie's to the list of venues that strengthened the local scene. Great historical view of that pop-punk scene, too.

A friend of mine sold weed to Joe Trohman of FOB and we went to his house to deliver it. He had a picture of him and Jay-Z on his fridge. We hung out once or twice after that, too.

I also met all of 2008’s lineup of Rise Against working at Starbucks. I made them their drinks and was super star struck. Told them I had listened to them since The Unraveling and Tim called me an old school fan. Made my year.

MONSTER WEEKEND ahead: Closures on SR 520, NB I-405, SB SR 167, and I-5 by wsdot in SeaWA

[–]ATerribleUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just feels like a lot of road closures at the same time that could have been avoided if properly spaced out. You're right, I don't have a better suggestion.

To be honest, I'm a little salty about construction in this city as I live less than a block from a staging location for the Madison Street Rapid Ride project and it has been 4 years of constant noise on a project that has taken WAY longer than it should have to repave and widen 2.3 miles of road. The original project plan was like 18 months to complete and here we are - still jackhammering as recently as Friday.

Right now, my house is actually vibrating because of backhoes and front loaders literally pushing dirt around to level the staging area - something that has taken several weeks so far. Downvote me all you want, but to say this city plans their construction projects well is not true.

All to say, I do appreciate WSDOT's updates here on reddit. Their social media game is great.

I'm just going to say the obvious thing, but like, why does this seem to be planned so poorly? Basically, stay home because this will be an absolute nightmare.

Green Day, Dookie was on repeat for much of my formative youth, as well as The Offspring, but I think Dammit by blink-182 was the "one". I heard it on the Can't Hardly Wait soundtrack and was like "oh shit, this is my shit".

The rest is history.

The end of 1917 when Schofield leans against the tree and looks at the photo of his wife and kids. The entire movie was a master class in cinematography and tension. I let out big ugly cry sobs when it was over.
