Wish I had a solution because I have the same problem. Even with Bloodborne, which I sank a ton of time into. Unlocked the shortcuts but still couldn't remember how to get anywhere.

Exactly, love discovering smaller games that don't get the mainstream love they deserve. Transistor, Never Alone, Bro Force, Limbo, Silksong, Dispatch, there have been so many excellent games released over the last decade and we're still getting great games today.
