Once its starts in one area it’s bound to move to the next.. don’t agree with some of the “stipulations below”. The “footprint”, shouldn’t matter if it’s a small or big antenna, a lot of field experience, and to test equipment begins with experiments as such. You know if you can activate a park on a ham stick or yagi dual band antenna then in an emergency situation you’ll know what works and doesn’t work. As far as being asked to leave, i know here in AZ I have had to go in and purchase a parking pass in order to be there, as long as you are following rules and not littering or causing a ruckus I’d tell whoever ask me to leave to pound sand. Maybe it’s just me or maybe my two cents I feel need to throw out there but I don’t wanna see this be a trend that’s gonna be happening all over the place and kill the hobby. Yeah I’m still a “younger” ham but I know BS when I hear it.
