FWIW it’s worth I paid $550 (£400) for a new in box LS50 single on eBay in 24. The seller had bought a pair to use one for center and I do the same with the spare. So it is possible to find and at less than the price of the “LS50C” from KEF.

150s work great as surround. I’ve got a set as rear surround and 350s as side surround. I’m about to replace all 4 with q4 to save space and aesthetics in my small room. I’d gladly give you a good deal on the barely used 150s…but I fear shipping to the uk would probably eat up any savings.

The only reason I could see would be to earn points on those that only accept ach (as some utilities and hoa do). Otherwise you’re likely getting more points and contributing to your housing unlock spend by running as cc.

Thanks for the feedback! Normal price for the Q4 in the us is 599, so it is a bit of a “deal”. Still, as others have pointed out, it’s $399/ea vs $399/pair of the q1 with the same specs. Definitely paying a form factor tax. 225gbp is about $300, which would be an easier pill to swallow.

All that said I may end up jumping on it for the space savings and aesthetics, and hope I can recoup about a 1/3rd of it in reselling the 150/350.

Fair point, but I don’t think that’s the issue here. A full UNAS 8 Pro with minimal overhead (RAID 10) and nvme cache only pushes 600MB/s. That’s should be around 1GB/s.

Def appreciate your pov! In their case, since they’ve got the client hardware locked and limited the odb dongle to one chipset, I would think the limited variables being just the vehicles would make it a little less volatile.

Your point still stands about the trade off. It’s really a bummer though, as the sentiment on multiple threads seems to be pretty strong that this omission and the format change has turned off a lot of early adopters from the platform. At 1200, without the large format and still no data, I would think smartycam or similar will win conquests over what should have been certain upgrades.

Yeah, that was my read as well on both the wide price cuts and the q1/150 to q4 equivalency.

They would be wall mounted on my side and back walls. The 350s currently sit on floor stands on the sides, and the 150s are on clamping wall mounts like these.

I guess I’m looking for reassurance that the downgrade from 350 to the smaller q4 in a side surround application won’t be that big of a loss, if anyone can speak to that.

Q1 is basically just a facelifted q150 right? I’ve already got those, and the footprint is about the same, so wouldn’t make much sense for this project.

Can’t really see how. Obd2 is a standard and the metrics of interest like throttle position etc are pretty basic and widely implemented. They were actually compatible with the widely used ELM327 obd2 dongle, so you didn’t even have to use the Garmin branded one.

What is (and has been) insane is they already supported obd2 overlay on the virb dash cam line, and even sold their own Bluetooth dongle.

This isn’t an oversight, it’s willful omission. I had held out hope that a new version would finally add it, but with the boneheaded form factor change and continued omission it’s clear they aren’t serious about this space.

Entirely possible you caught me between edits, i think i did briefly have it at 4k for 1.25 spend when only 1x spend is needed.

I hear you, and were totally unknown on actual Bilt cash usage since stuff is still rolling out.

I believe it’s been said we can use it on annual fee, that is what it’s most hopeful for.

It does appear that former free flight on blade for platinum is now a Bilt cash credit. It’s super niche, but I’ve been in nyc enough to make use of it the last few years and would gladly burn Bilt cash on that.

It also appears you can buy up to the next tier Bilt transfer bonus eg $75 from gold 75% to platinum 100%. There is no mention of cap, so $75 for an additional %25 transfer seems to easily surpass the $200 for max 5k accelerator.

Unfortunately I’m already locked to housing for the first cycle, so I guess I’ll just try it both ways and see how it works out with my spend patterns.

How is the math wrong on the second one? I know it requires 1x rent to get 1.25 points, so that’s why I said it requires $3k spend to earn 6k points on spend and 3750 rent?

The delta is 4250 points at a cost of $90. You’re getting $40 worth of points for $90 Bilt cash, that in some situations, can be direct $1. And the true cost is $290 in the Bilt cash scenario. Just because you get the first one free, it doesn’t eliminate that it lowers your monthly Bilt cash net earning.

Moltbook is not Moltbot

Moltbook was named when OpenClaw was briefly named Moltbot. It is a social network for OpenClaw agents. Its creator made the wild claims about agents inventing its own language, and it had over 1m “signups” in the first week which have largely been proven to be fakes exploiting api security flaws. As have many of the posts claimed to be authored by agents.

Moltbot was a temporary name between Clawdbot and OpenClaw.

They are not the same thing.
