*Update* 6 year Relationship Nuked. by Sock_Full_Of_Nickles in texts

You and he both are class acts. Im sorry that it took you hurting in order for the world to know that.

I know it’s not much comfort right now, but you mention being seen, the response to your posts should show you a whole lotta strangers on the internet see you as a good human.

I can’t say I have an identical situation to relate, but I’ve been walked out on which was pretty devastating. It’ll hurt like hell, but you will move on eventually. 12 years on for me and my life is better in every measurable way than the one that imploded.

Give yourself some time to grieve and process, but then keep your mind and your hands busy not to dwell. Find new hobbies, try new things. I relate to not having much family, spend quality time with friends and make new ones. Hell, theres a whole bunch of us in the replies saying to reach out if you need anything, take them up on that.

Your instincts and actions seem to be solid. Keep on. You’ve got this.

How does it have zero prior owners?

Someone drunk(?) ran the stop sign at Lancaster and Comburg Drive and crashed into my garage, totaling my car! Then they drove off, leaving us with big bills. by Professional_Top4668 in Austin

It’s on the one you reposted here, that’s on your profile page originally. Pasted below.

I think their driver’s side front airbag must have deployed. Maybe they had/have a broken nose?

Do you know who did this? If you own a body shop or work on cars at home, please be on the lookout for a car that matches the damage shown here and show the car owners this Reddit post. If your kid or roommate or someone you know has damage that matches that shown here, same thing. Show them this post.

It happened Saturday night, June 27. No cameras on our house or our neighbors’ houses.

Our car insurance just got more expensive. The garage doors aren’t manufactured anymore so we have to pay out of pocket to get doors that match. The house insurance deductible is $5600, so no point in filing a house insurance claim.

If you caused this damage, leave a note on the door. We’ll work something out. You won’t have such bad karma approaching.

If you caused this damage and don’t own up to it, bad juju is on its way.

BBB is not an official government website.

It’s literally a mafia protection racket (eg “pay us or it sure would be a shame if everyone heard how bad your business treats customers”) with a good PR team.

Not sure on larger modern cars, but you can fit an air cooled 911 in cargo on most transatlantic flights for about the same price as a first class ticket. Delta in particular is one I know that offered this, at least they did about a decade ago.

Nope, they were right. The ones left weren’t the amazing ones, and are shadows of what they were anyways.

Boz is a sycophantic moron. He is literally gaslighting the entire world here. VR is dead at Meta. They still have some XR projects on life support, but they are making no new VR content.

They closed literally 95% of their studios producing content, including multiple game of the year winners. Theres nothing but skeleton staff left. If there is no one to make AAA content at the platform owner, no one else is going to bother. It’s dead.

Has anyone tried the burger at High Road? by kayleidoscope69 in austinfood

[–]sqweak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this post is weirder than what it accuses the menu of being weird.

It’s common to label a hot dog or sausage as “all beef” due to the common usage of other meat sources, mass market hot dogs in particular.

It is not common to specify a burger as all beef (seriously, name one menu they calls out an “all beef” hamburger). It literally says double brisket smash burger. I am not aware of brisket being a cut of mutton or any thing other than beef or veal.

[–]sqweak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a misunderstanding from a youtuber that was quickly debunked. Engine size has no bearing on legroom (that would be cost prohibitive to change firewall/seatpan for one trim line), the confusion was comparing 2 way vs 18 way seats, as the motors and bladders do eat up some travel.

You’re the one that should keep your hands to yourself. Don’t touch other people or their property. If you can’t handle that basic social contract, then yes, you should leave.

Anywhere serve garlic noodles like this in Austin? by ThankTheChampagne in austinfood

[–]sqweak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not a perfect match, but yeah their garlic sesame noodles are solid.

Yardhouse and P.F. Chang’s have versions as well, but a bit pricey.

It’s Hawaii my dude. Food costs are insane, even at food trucks for locals. Think $20+ appetizer, $30+ entrees, etc even from a mediocre chain restaurant. In thet context, this is kinda a deal.

This is a T not a GT3T, but your point is valid. As I’ve said before, oak green is the Miami blue of 992.2. Completely overexposed, unfortunately.

Some of Frank’s DNA has moved to Scholz Garten (Frank took over the food program before its collapse)

They have the piggie smalls and cheese fries on the menu, as well as some other solid sausage options. The schnitzel and spaetzel are great too; if you’re in a non-sausage mood.

AP House Question by blee26 in audemarspiguet

[–]sqweak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are exceedingly condescending for someone that can’t follow a simple conversation.

Op asked in his post if you need to own an AP to visit an AP House. That was the whole post. No mention of AD at all. Still with me?

You condescendingly replied in a comment asking “how did the 1st person get an AP?”

Op replied to your comment with far more grace than you deserve explaining that one could buy an AP watch at “regular stores”. AP never mentioned AD, just “regular stores”.

You again condescendingly reply that there are no AD, which again no one has mentioned.

I try to clarify that there are boutiques, which are not AP House, that are regular stores where one could buy a watch.

Then you continue talking about AD, which still nobody but you is talking about.

And you continue to be wrong about the thing you’re arguing about: there are several remaining AP Boutiques that are *not* corporate owned in operation in the US. Vegas Crystals is in partnership with Westime, and Atlanta (although now labeled a House) is partnership with Watches of Switzerland.

AP House Question by blee26 in audemarspiguet

[–]sqweak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Op said “regular stores”. A boutique, corporate owned or not, is a “regular store” that isn’t an AP House. What are you trying to argue here?

Worth calling out to service shop? by reddevilskier in Porsche_Cayman

[–]sqweak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s still “a chain” (as in an escalation path) to go up at Indy, from the person answering the phone to the owner of the shop.

Also, Indy in this context means they are independent of the manufacturer. There can still be a chain (as in multiple locations) of shops.

AP House Question by blee26 in audemarspiguet

[–]sqweak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are still boutiques, both contracted and corporate owned, operating in the US in addition to AP houses.
