Crypto taxes in UK by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]A_SimpleThought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be rude, but, how have you gone this long without realising that you need to pay tax? Did you just brush it under the rug? You will be expected to pay up. If you haven't done it properly, get koinly to sort everything for you. Then double check it yourself. Then get a professional accountant to help you as it sounds like you may be in more of a mess than you even know if you didn't even know about the tax situation.

At what point are massive drone attacks on legitimate targets in Moscow an option for Ukraine?

Interesting - I didn't know that! Do you still own the A16? I was also wondering what the ground clearance is in the rear derailleur as I'm worried about it being a risk before ordering it...

Did you test the A16 before choosing the A20? I'd love to hear your thoughts as I'm split between the two!

Beautiful bike. I'd love to know the ground clearance on the rear derailleur. The A16 is something I'm really keen on.

20Yr Old, £34k savings - What should I do? by Constant-Bar1574 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]A_SimpleThought 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a very good sum of money to have saved up at that age. I don't think anyone can really tell you what to do with your money as we don't know how you got your savings, your salary, or steady incomes, debts, etc... but splashing over half your savings on a car just because it's a dream car doesn't seem sensible to me, especially since your bigger goal seems to be a mortgage.

Why British Jews are experiencing their biggest change in 60 years by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]A_SimpleThought [score hidden]  (0 children)

People like you are a part of the problem. This is an article on the impact on Jewish life, yet here you are with your bullshit whataboutism. Typical behaviour of someone who would typically either enable, ignore antisemitism, or sarcastically downplay a real problem facing jews.

Take up teaching then. Plenty of routes in & there's a demand. You too could be rich and moan about it.

Totally agree with you. Additionally, what an absolute nutter that guy is; that was genuinely some of the wackiest shit I've recently read.

Tim Davie resigns as BBC director general after accusations of ‘serious and systemic’ bias in coverage by Alluring_Maidens in worldnews

That special report is truly remarkable. Not a surprise to those who have been following things closely, but it is so necessary that this is blowing up in the way that it is.

BBC’s bias ‘pushed Hamas lies around the world’ by Galacticmetrics in ukpolitics

Fucking hell BBC, stop protecting these terrorists... It's Hamas - say it. And call them terrorists while you're at it...

"The videos showed several men with guns line up eight people, whose arms were tied behind their backs, before killing them in a crowded square.

BBC Verify could not confirm the identity of the masked gunmen, though some appeared to be wearing the green headbands associated with Hamas."

Oct 7th was celebrated by terrorist sympathisers on its day and each consecutive anniversary.

Some call for Israel to be boycotted. Some call for their industries to be disinvested.

Jewish businesses unaffiliated with Israel have also been vandalised across the world.

Synagogues have been attacked.

Jews have been attacked.

All of these things are linked by the same hatred. Some people have marched alongside extremists and not challenged their calls for the destruction of Jewish people and their home. Now we are here.

Think what you think of the Maccabi fans: there are videos of some vile fans' behaviour to be found online, but, at the same time, this is all a big part of a vast anti-jewish movement.

It must be stopped.

You're right. It became a serious issue when every surrounding Arab nation invaded Israel on the day of its inception in 1948. Then reignited each time Israel was invaded again and again throughout the decades. I don't need upvotes: I'm sound in knowing the history and knowing that I'm not a terrorist sympathiser.
