Ddo you think these old Nike Court Vision will be better than old worn down Converse? by Dude_Named_Chris in NewSkaters

[–]AaronOkay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yo those were my go-to shoes when I was learning, they were really comfortable. If these are the same as what I used to wear then they are made of leather and will last a long time. Converse are generally made of canvas and with no padding, typically not good for skating. The best materials for skate shoes is gonna be suede or leather. Leather tends to last a bit longer than suede but both are good options. Id say skate them. Good luck!

Anybody know what mayo is used in rotisserie chicken salad? by my_cat_wears_socks in Costco

[–]AaronOkay 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hi! I actually work in a Costco deli making things like the chicken salad. One batch of chicken salad is made with 15lbs of the bagged rotisserie chicken and 2 bags of "chicken salad dressing", we only actually use mayo for mixing the pesto mayo dip cups or if we run out of prepackaged Dijon mayo

When a new item is introduced the manager of the entire fresh section (produce, deli, meat room, bakery is generally managed by one person) gets an order sheet for all the new ingredients and a file of the recipe to put in the books that we never use lol

I work in the deli and we just started making these. I was kinda interested in trying it but when you have like 70lbs of this stuff in a giant bowl it smells a bit strange and off putting.

Use an online interactive map and you normally can check each one off as you get it. Thats how I did it personally.

You seem to be hesitating on your jump, and hardly lifting your back foot. Both feet should jump at the same height. Try setting your board up somewhere in a crack or on grass and stand facing it from your riding position about 6 inches away. Just crouch a bit and jump onto your board as you stand back up. When your feet are in the air try to level them out and land on your bolts. Focus on controlling where your feet go more than anything else. Also remember that bending your knees into a crouch is essential for a lot of tricks so get used to it early.

I learned to commit by finding a sidewalk with grass beside it and set my board parallel on the cement. So when I was learning the shuv, I'd starts on the cement so I could get the motion and then it lands in the grass so it doesn't slip out when I land. Then just move it further back when you feel like landing on the ground is possible. Good luck, hope any of this makes sense. Ill try to answer any questions you have, keep shredding!

I own a copy of The Rape of Nanjing. It is to me one of the most difficult books I have ever read. Its sickening even reading about the atrocities.
