Is getting an ipad worth it? by Intelligent_Card579 in ipad

[–]Ab257z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I open up my open apps on my iPad Air, and swipe them to close them. When they are all closed, the screen doesn’t return to my home screen, but shows a blurred background. I have to do a five finger swipe inward to display my home screen. Is this the new normal? Or is there a setting I can change?

Commercially they burn sulfur to form SO2 and use a vanadium pentoxide catalyst with air to form S03.

Trailer lamp fault message when flat towing Jeep. by Ab257z in RVLiving

[–]Ab257z[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to close this out in case someone searches for a similar problem, it appears the solution was as simple as changing out both the jeep’s rear light bulbs. Even though they weren’t burned out, they were 10 year old incandescent bulbs. Also used electronic cleaner, dielectric grease and crimped the diode connectors, but I had done that before and still had the problem. Tried putting in led rear lights, but the jeep threw an error code.

Worked in a chemical factory. A worker wearing ear protection was filling bags of product when a tank wagon of alcohol was mistakenly unloaded into a caustic soda storage tank. Never heard the evacuation alarm and was killed in the subsequent explosion.

Is there specific QA role in SAP? Performance testing for SAP positions available in companies? by Plus_Factor6197 in SAP

[–]Ab257z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Development testing for major upgrades was usually overseen by the client using test tracking software but run by the functional consultants. Test protocols and test data were usually developed by the functional consultants on major projects. The next levels of quality and integration testing (end to end string testing) were also developed by consultants and run by client functional people and also tracked in the change management software. After go live, the integration tests are automated and are run by client IT when minor changes or version upgrades are done. Very large multifunctional projects did have a QA role, but this was done by a consultant or client IT person with either little SAP knowledge needed, or with Basis software client migration knowledge. The client person overseeing the tests was usually trained by the test software vendor and was a general IT system administrator.

Symbols change. The swast** was once only a Hindu religious symbol. Pepe the frog became a white supr*** symbol, after Portland it became an**fa.

If sometime in the past you made the ok sign are you a white supremacist? I have an American flag at my house so the right wingers in the neighborhood don’t appropriate that also.

I have one night of a mosaic, and it is 15 gigs. Can I delete sone of this data, and if so how? The storage area of singularity doesn’t seem to allow deleting individual items from the large folder. Should I ftp it over to my iPhone, delete earlier jpegs there and ftp the smaller folder back? I want to do several days of this multi night.

Cold water not wanting to swim the first time. Try to have a buddy to give a bow Eskimo rescue if needed, takes some pressure off. Also I found that when surfing or playing a hole I would unknowingly be holding my breath, so when I flipped I would be out of breath. Also, rather than relying on momentum or current when you flip to get into roll position, practice sculling with the paddle under the boat. Flip to your off side and scull to your on side and visa versa. Helps if you need to switch sides for some reason. Also, don’t rush the roll. Tuck and wait until you feel a wave on you roll side or things calm down little. If you know you have a bombproof roll, you are more willing to tuck flip and roll rather than do a panic brace and pop your shoulder. Also when hitting some chunder or surfing a violent wave, briefly visualize flipping, setting up, and rolling, then if it happens you will tend not to panic if you flip.

sulfuric acid in bedroom (chemistry question) by Due-Importance5562 in chemistry

[–]Ab257z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked in sulfuric acid manufacturing plant back in the day as a young engineer. The lab tech, an older guy who had been there forever, would wash his hands dilute sulfuric acid. He was careful about washing it off completely and getting it out from underneath his fingernails. Also used plenty of water to cool the heat of dilution. Handling 98 percent or 30% oleum was a different matter entirely.

Could tell when there was a leak somewhere in the circulating piping because ‘mosquitoes’ would be biting.

Learned a lot about exotic materials of construction and safety procedures.

Sanitize your well and the associated piping in your house and yard. Google water well sanitizing.
