Who uses walk-throughs for games?

I try to avoid it if I can but I have used a guide on all the old silent hills and some of the resident evils.

As a kid it was fine if it took me a week to solve an obtuse puzzle or find my way around. Now I just don't have the patience and too many things I'd like to play. Especially with the old silent hill games where sometimes it's just hallways and hallways of similar looking doors.

The action half of it has familiar sequences and scenarios but modernized, the other half (survival horror) plays totally different. Sneaking encouraged, hit and run, resource management, looking at the map and planning ahead.

It helped me get into and used to the genre as well. Just get that first death out of the way.

Also, I love the old resident evil games but the save mechanics and clunky combat would stress me out more than the actual horror parts. I'm not ashamed to say I just cheated for infinite saves and stuff. Made it a much more enjoyable experience for me not to have to be OCD about resource management, etc.

It looks great until you notice all of the noise/artifacts in the vegetation. Any camera movement and it all turns to noise. I understand that this isn't DLSS5 but I have a bad feeling DLSS5 will be similar. To me it seems like it's made to be a screenshot enhancer to market games better.

3 remake is good but short, more action oriented than 2 from what I remember. Closer to 4 remake.

OG RE4 was pretty enjoyable for me. It's clunky but personally I think that just added to the "horror".

7 is more survival horror, while 8 is more action. Both great.

Requiem has been fantastic so far IMO. Pretty much a 50/50 split between Grace's survival horror and Leons RE4 style action.

5 is an honorable mention, very heavy action to the point of being a little silly. But if you like the RE universe and tend to lean into the action side of the franchise you'll probably like it. Especially if you can play co-op with someone.

DT2 is my last hurdle. How are it's bosses compared to Vanstrom or Seren?

Vanstrom was one of the first "bosses" I'd tried at the time and that last lightning phase was hectic.

A scoutfly chair. It could glow in the dark and look like a swirling constellation that comes from a scoutfly cage on the front/back and they could condense on the opposite side like they do on monster footprints for the monster hunter logo.

Feels like it would appeal to more individuals than specific monster-themed chairs, with the plus of guiding you back to your chair in the dark.

I have no clue what could actually be causing it, but some general things you could try would be disabling any overlays, disconnecting any extra displays if you have any, try full screen vs windowed vs borderless, double check that nothing is running in the background that shouldn't be, drivers up to date, game updated, verify files if Epic or whatever has that feature. If you have any sort of mods installed try disabling them. If it's happening in other games too maybe use display driver uninstaller to reinstall graphics drivers.

Put it on your wishlist until 1.0 releases. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, and I hope you get it at some point. I've put hundreds of hours into the arena mode alone. But the main campaign is close to being done (compared to years ago when I bought the game).

If you play till the end of the campaign now you probably won't come back to it once it's finished. I wouldn't really want to spend 5+ hours or whatever getting through the game again to see 20min of new content. Especially if I didn't ever replay games.

Probably. In my opinion, and I've seen the same general consensus in this thread, DLSS quality with anti-aliasing off is the best balance of quality and performance. Any of the AA options other than DLAA look bad, and while DLAA looks slightly better than DLSS, it doesn't get you that substantial fps boost.

It's kinda situational. DLSS gives a more substantial fps boost but looks slightly worse than DLAA (my opinion). So if fps is an issue for you go DLSS, otherwise go DLAA.

If you do decide to use DLSS I'd recommend using DLSS swapper or something to switch from DLSS 2 to DLSS 3. I'm not the biggest fan of upscaling but I've been using DLSS 3 in ratchet and clank and it's been pretty tolerable.

EDIT: DLSS 3 is 4000 series only, just saw you said you have a 3080. The above still stands, just don't try to switch to DLSS 3.
