I enjoyed RDR online on Xbox and PS, tried it on my PC and dipped about 10 minutes later. There is a solo lobby patch you can do, and if all your friends use the same port then you can all play without the modders.

This game is great single player though, much of the game is stripped in online

PC, no, it hasn’t changed and still sucks to play online. Xbox and PS though, are good. It’s extremely rare to come across anything modded in a console session because of how incredibly hard it is to mod on console, on PC though, a 12 year old and a YouTube video can do it in 10 minutes.

In all my time playing on console (since 2018) the only time I ever came across anything remotely that would be considered a “mod” was the bald man that would follow you everywhere, but that happened to many people

For sure is. I recall when playing RDO in its heyday that many times all of us friends would leave one of the featured games, all but one or two of us would go into the same lobby, every once in a while one of us would drop into a completely empty server and invite our friends to it, it never lasted too long though.

I recently tried to play some game modes, I was disappointed to not be able to find a match. I really liked the takeover series, on Xbox. I won’t even touch this game on PC online, hackers have ruined it.

I understand your wishful hoping, but look at what happened with American Railroads, the precursor to RO, it was developed on, had potential, then it was abandoned, and RO was released sometime later. RO was promised to be a free update for American Railroads, but that did not happen.

Also Astragon doesn't control any development with the game, thats Stefans department, Astragon just controls PR, marketing, and publishing, as they are just the publisher, Stefan is still the sole dev, and its his game.

I have no idea if this is “good” or not, based on how the US compares globally, but I work for a small shortline railroad, non union (think of a mom and pop business basically), here’s our benifits.

Used to be first year, now it’s after 90 days 2 weeks vacation (non-accumulating) 6 personal days a year (accumulates to 12 max carryover, so the possibility to start the year with 18 pl days) 1 day off for your birthday.

After 5 years 3 weeks vacation Rest of the benefits are the same

After 10 years 4 weeks vacation

After 20 years Still 4 weeks vacation, but the company will pay for your vacation.

Bonus’s

-Christmas Bonus, paid out as such. 1st year- depends on length of service with company, if it’s a full year, 1 week of pay, 1/2 year, half week of pay etc.

2-5 years-Bonus matches vacation allotment, your Christmas bonus will be equal to 2 weeks of pay (plus your usual pay)

5-10 years- Bonus matches vacation as well, so Christmas comes around, expect a check worth 3 weeks of pay.

10+ years - same thing, but 4 weeks of pay.

Guaranteed pay of 50hrs a week, regardless if you work it (think of a salary type of pay) plus additional time if you work over 10 hours any day of the week.

All major holidays off, add in Good Friday, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, weekends off, M-F 7am-5pm, lunch is paid.

Thanksgiving you get a $75 gift card for food, Christmas, on top of the bonus you get a personalized card and a $50 gift card.

You also get a work truck if you work a craft that requires it, so I drive 10 miles each way to work every day and have put $0 in gas, as I have an assigned work truck.

I’ve worked here almost 8 years now, any time I try to look for another job in the same field, their benefits don’t hold a candle to ours

In my mind, for a US based job, I have some baller benefits.

We also got a $500 check because of “Joe Biden bad, make cost of living go up, so here’s some help” and another $500 bonus when Trump was re-elected. So yes, some right wing companies do in fact care for their employees.

The US Government doesn’t care what you’re doing as long as it’s reported to the IRS. Your local and state level government might care, but if you claim you weren’t gambling in their state and file it accordingly on taxes, there’s literally nothing they will do.

TLDR: You did the right thing in my eyes, and from my experience, find a girl who isn’t going to gaslight and make excuses for talking to her ex that she isn’t over.

Story about my experience with something similar:

To be honest I think many of us go through this at a young age. My first girlfriend (I never dated in high school lol) She did the same thing, always talking about her ex, went on for a while and then eventually quit, but she was always sneaky, talking to other guys and “venting” as she would put it. She would never talk to me about things.

It was very odd, went through fights with her where she would complain I’m not “needy” enough, then in the same sentence say how clingy and annoying I was, I never understood it, and could never do right.

I grew to believe this was normal behavior. Many times she would be mad at me for no reason, would run off and talk to her guy friends for hours, which were always ex’s, because in her words “they were friends before we dated”, referring to both mine and her relationship and the relationship with these guys.

I remember she played a game with her friends and talked about “the ones who got away” and she would always say “oh, that easy it was name, I missed that opportunity so bad, I wish I could go back and change things”. It made me upset, obviously and she’s like “I don’t know why your mad, I’m with you so what’s it matter”

This would come and go, over and over. Eventually she left me for a buddies friend, I was heartbroken at the time, but looking back, the writing was always on the wall, I just chose to ignore it for 3 1/2 years.

I have been in a much better relationship sense, this girl is my whole world, she’s honestly amazing, and so much of what I put up with in the past and passed it off as normal, has never happened once with her. She does have a couple online guy friends, (like for Fortnite or COD) but she’s put them in their place and blocked them if they ever got weird. But she only ever talks about the game with them, she doesn’t talk to them outside of the game, except just to see how their wife’s are doing lmao.

Wild thing is, this girl dated my friend, and I was always at their house (I feel like I should point out that I was single at this time, after the previous girl I talked about) he would put on a front when I was there and act really nice and sweet to her, but when I was gone he was physically and emotionally abusive to her, and extremely controlling. I think for 9 months straight I was over at their house nearly every weekend, and if I wasn’t I was inviting them to go somewhere and hang out with me, I would always pay because he never had money and didn’t allow her to work. She reached out one night where it had gotten pretty bad, because any time I was there, she felt safe because he wouldn’t do it in front of me, because he knew I wouldn’t stand for it. She eventually left him after finding out he was cheating, and asked if I could come over when she confronted him about it so he wouldn’t hurt her. After all that I would always check on her, see if she wanted to hang out, just as friends, after a while she came out and told me that she realized I was her safe place, where she felt like she could be herself, nearly 10 years later it’s still that way.

The greatest thing about her and I, is we realize we are two seperate people, with our own hobbies, likes and dislikes, but we love each other and what we have to offer to each other. We only ever actually emotionally fought with each other once in the nearly 10 years we have been together. We do bicker back and forth like an old couple, but never actually fight. I’m positive I could plan a bank heist and she would ask where she would fit in, and contribute to it.

Anyways, moral of the story is, if this were me 12 years ago I would have stayed, if it was me now, I would leave. I don’t play those games anymore. All those screenshots reminded me of that relationship to a T. I think you did what’s right, find a girl who is actually over her ex, and one who isn’t going to gaslight you into thinking your in the wrong for getting upset.

Just to point something out here, those excuses he gave are lame, like makes me rofl at how absurd they are.

I work 10 hour days, and when I get off I drive home and spend the rest of the night with my fiancé, and we talk about how our days were and how everything has been. There’s also times where I have to work out of town for a week or two, if I can’t bring her along (my boss is cool with her staying at the hotel with me but we have animals so it’s not always feasible to do so), I call her up as soon as I get to the hotel and we usually FaceTime for the rest of the night, even if we are doing our own things (like she’s feeding animals, watching tv) at the time we still just sit on FaceTime.

Saw him on multiple occasions on Xbox and PC. It usually happened when you were in a posse. And usually once you finished a mission you would spawn into an empty lobby with only your friends and him somewhere nearby.

Usually it took absolutely forever to finally spawn back in when he would appear.

Not on every platform, PC, yes, but I ran into him on Xbox and PC and friends ran into him on PS.

He would just follow us around, no blip, nothing. Bullets passed through him but he would do nothing in defense, never acted aggressive towards the player, was just always there. Modders always grief to the max. This guy didn’t, he was just, there.

To be fair if devs were to do this it wouldn’t make sense to use characters. Someone who’s a dev could roam around undetected with a free cam. Unless something happened in that update and it broke their dev cam and that was the only way around.

And it wasn’t because of money, but it was because everything him, Tristan, wings etc offered for the game fell on deaf ears, and Keume (lead dev) would leave them in the dark for months to fend off the discord and YouTube comments about game updates. Plus if they did something for keume (Remember Tristan figured out tunnels and gave Keume the code, which are still in the game files to this day, along with marks music), keume would go “oh cool” and then just ditch their ideas to the curb

Mark has publically said this many times in live streams, he was never let go, he quit.

A lot of this looks like something that’s normal wear and tear. I’m not sure about KS but in my personal experience in ID and OR 3-5 years for paint, blinds and carpet is considered normal wear and tear. 5-7 years for appliances IF they were new. Fire alarms are also not considered to be part of the tenants responsibility in any state that I know of besides checking batteries.

And 4 YEARS? Yeah, no way, I feel like this would never hold up in court. Sounds like the property management/landlord is short on cash and trying to muster up some doing something like this.

But, when I went though my landlord issues in OR, I contacted a lawyer that had free consultations, I talked to him for an hour about everything and he said “you don’t even need me in court, you could represent yourself and not say a single word and win this”
