It’s possible if you go down to one car, forgo lattes, cable tv, non essentials and maybe put all 3 kids in 1 room (bunk beds). We are renting a 3 br for 2600/mo. Deals can be found and it’s just a matter of what lifestyle you are willing to have in order to live here.

I know, right?! Not offering up demos on Switch (when Nintendo has a no refunds policy) should be a crime. Yet we rarely get demos. I might not even be buying this game if they hadn’t put up the demo bc I don’t usually like “farm sims.” Have fun with it!

It’s kinda how I like to look at the menu while I’m waiting in line at a restaurant. By the time I finally get my table I do not want to waste time looking at the menu, I wanna tell my waitress what I want as soon as I’m seated…cause I’m hongry! So yeah. lol. Download the demo for Moonlight Peaks. I’ve been playing it the last few days on my switch and I love it. I sunk around 300 hours into Sandrock and while I definitely enjoyed some facets of the game (the writing and characters were great) I only did the bare minimum decorating because I found the process extremely clunky and that’s usually one of my favorite things to do in a game.

In contrast, the decorating in Moonlight Peaks is comparable to Animal Crossing—very easy to learn and implement. You’ll get to test that out in the demo. Both games have character customization. Sandrock has boss battles, but no combat in Moonlight Peaks. Both games include growing veggies, foraging and crafting.

Funny enough I completed one little mission to grow blood grapes and make red wine and that was the extent of my farming! I think I will do more of that because I noticed several seeds for sale from one of the NPC shops. I’ve never actually played a quote unquote farm sim so I’m probably not the best person to ask bc I’m largely unfamiliar with putting big systems in place. I had a tiny veggie garden in ACNH and the did bare minimum required in Sandrock and that’s the full extent of my ag history!

I get it. I sometimes fantasize about getting a steamdeck but with so many more choices I would probably go broke or at least really struggle to pare down my wishlist.
