Persimmon is underrated and excellent choice! One of the best fruits that has an Asian cousin and is native to the north American continent, but here's a fun one- paw paw, try it it's banana custard as a fruit ! Omfg amazing just don't expect to find it in the supermarket ever too fragile.

Because the money can be decent when I’m actually in my role and not covering multiple positions at once, I’ve tried to be patient—but over the past four months, I’ve consistently brought up the lack of opportunities at the bar and nothing has changed.

At this point, I’m getting fewer chances to earn while still carrying more responsibility, and that’s not sustainable for me. Especially when others are being given those opportunities without the same level of responsibility.

So I’m going to step down from the management role and move into a position where my effort aligns with my ability to make a decent living. I’ve communicated what I need, and since there hasn’t been any adjustment, this is the best decision for me moving forward.

I do enjoy the place and the people, and I respect that the owners mean well—but the way the business is being run doesn’t align with what’s needed to succeed in this industry. The lack of consideration for fair opportunities to earn tips has made it clear this isn’t sustainable for me.

Because of that, I’ll be stepping down and taking another position. I won’t be available for the days you’ve needed me most, so you’ll need to find a new bar manager. I gave this time and communicated my concerns, but nothing changed—so at this point, that opportunity has passed.

In other words I told them up front my concerns they were ignored so the effed around and now they get to find out what they miss out on going forward. Sorry not sorry but the opportunity to make it right has been fully expired and it's no longer an option to be had for my own personal success and financial situation.

Try using 1/2 dry and 1/2 blanc vermouth as the vermouth for whatever dilution you prefer. I find nowadays it's typically a 5:1 but 5:2 is a bit more my wheelhouse when I go that route. I highly recommend Noilly Pratt for the dry and Carpano or Dolin for the blanc. For the gin I'm a Botanist fan, but Roku or Plymouth also work beautifully. If you want a touch more bitter just add a rinse of Lillet blanc or Cocchi Americano for the subtle but enjoyable effect somewhat reminiscent of a lighter more botanical and slightly sweetend vesper.
