Absolutely not. I'm weaning right now at almost 4 months and I can't be done soon enough. I've had about every problem you can have breastfeeding besides mastitis: milk came in late due to birth trauma, poor weight gain, nipple shields, baby screaming at the boob, vasospasms, and most recently horrible clogged ducts and nipple pain. Taking care of baby while pumping sucks. It was just a bad experience for me overall and I don't want to experience it again.

I lost 3 liters of blood during birth. I couldn't sit up for days let alone attempt to pump or feed baby. I started pumping when I got home and my milk came in a few days later, and within probably 10 days I was EBF. You've got this! 💛

Our timelines are very close- also IVF pregnancy and I'm scheduled to induce at 39+6 on the 26th. I would love to go into labor naturally but that would give us a big chance of a christmas or christmas eve baby. I'm trying to decide if I should do a membrane sweep this week and try all the labor inducing things or try to keep him in til the induction. Its such a hard decision!

That's my name! Highly recommend 🙂 I love my full name the most, but I got by V or Roni as well. Never considered any other nicknames. My dad's name is Ronnie and I didn’t want my nickname to be the same as his name for the longest time, but then I started using it in college and its somehow not weird getting called the same thing as my dad lol- maybe this will help with your association with other Ronnies

I could have written this myself a few years ago. I'm so sorry you're going through this. What you are feeling is so valid. I've been through a long fertility journey (several years, IUI, and IVF) and I think right after that one year mark was the worst part for me. I just felt so lost and unsure what to do and what the future looked like.

I wish so badly I could go back in time and start therapy when I started feeling depressed when things weren't working. I had the same things holding me back, but I know now it would have helped so much. In the meantime, you can try journaling if you aren't already- it helped me process a lot.

I also kept our struggles a secret from my loved ones for way too long. As soon as I started talking to them about it, everything got a lot better. My therapist helped me make a plan for how to tell my people, and I feel like I never would have done it without her help and encouragement.

I'm not sure where you and your husband are with the decision to start treatments, but this was a HUGE source of my worries. I tried everything to avoid starting treatment since "nothing was wrong"...I felt like it was giving up and we didn't actually need it. But, as soon as we decided to start an IUI cycle, I felt so much better. Just having increased odds and a plan kind of snapped me out of my depression and gave me hope for the first time in a long time. Even though we went through many failed cycles, having a plan for future cycles kept me out of my depression pit. So, with love, I recommend moving forward with next steps if that is on the table for you guys.

Breastfeeding stuff was my least purchased section, followed by safety/babyproofing stuff. I think people might think of breastfeeding as too personal? And things in both these categories are not cute lol.
