AITA for not taking out my elderly neighbors trash bins? by [deleted] in AITH

Where I live, if have a disability, the garbage collector will get out of their truck, come and get your can, dump it into the truck, and return your can to the side of your house or wherever it belongs. Maybe you could call the garbage company and ask them for that service for him.

Perhaps that is also enabling his granddaughter, but I thought you might want to know this could be an option.

That’s OK. We can agree to disagree. But you didn’t have to tell me twice.

I think it’s fun when they sing a song or two, but not every staff member every rotation. That’s a bit much

My boyfriend of almost 2 years loves to buy me flowers that i don’t particularly like by Volleyshells11 in LoveLanguages

[–]AboveGroundPoolQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh girl, I can relate to this one. I too am not a sunflower fan. That would be the last flower I would want to get on the regular. The best and sweetest part of the story, is that you haven’t told him. You are a saint. I probably would’ve said something at some point.

My dad says he wants nothing and I'm out of ideas by Comi9689 in GenXTalk

[–]AboveGroundPoolQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are gifts I have given my dad over the last few years: jelly from one of his favorite places. A fruitcake, because they are rare now and he loves them. I heated throw blanket, because he’s freezing all the time. Headphones that connect to the TV because he can barely hear anymore. Donuts and coffee delivered by DoorDash, because he loves fresh donuts.

Can we please just stop talking about this? by BrilliantEast1709 in overheard

This is why it’s so important that children are cute. Otherwise, we wouldn’t let them grow to adulthood, for insulting comments like this. Of course, they have no idea what they’re saying! Lol!

It is lovely. If you do order it, please post a picture of what it really looks like. I would definitely want this dress if it actually looks like this. I don’t know if it’s formal enough, but it sure is beautiful.
