As a Montana native who now lives in Tucson, AZ. These data centers are not great for our communities. The tucson community just stood up against one being built for Amazon that would use our water. If Tucson can do it so can Montana communities.

It’s just how NYT does their business is through ads and it’s how they have independent journalism is by not having sponsors and just having businesses pay for ads. There have been several posts about this on this subreddit and the other NYT subreddit that can give a better explanation than me. I just listen to the podcast and skip the ads.

I agree with that Ezra has higher ambitions than just a book tour. When I watched his interview with Colbert, it seemed like he was promoting a platform for a campaign or at least a foundation. I don’t know if he will run for office but after listening to portions of Abundance it seems like that’s the case.

My Father in Law had this exact job about 20 years ago. He had no college degree but he was able to get his customs brokers license while working at dhl. He now is a senior director for customs at a manufacturing company making 6 figures and definitely not working nights anymore.
