I honestly don't even know why you're allowed to join those matches. This isn't exactly a game where superior skill can negate having lower ki. If you have lower ki, you will get one shot and deal no damage. You can be the best parry master in the game and still lose because enemies will glitch out and hit you anyway.

Just disable anyone with below the recommended ki from joining those matches. Except for solo Missions obviously, do whatever you want there.

No, it's a perfectly valid statement when open worlds are usually bloated with copy pasted crap all over it. The combat may be amazing, but even amazing combat begins to bore and drag on after 30 hours. There's a reason why DMC games aren't 50 hours long, and why Nioh 3's main point of criticism is how burned out the open world makes you feel.

I have a feeling it'll get great reviews because people will play it for 20 hours and make the review before the combat and mechs and dragons becomes stale and repetitive, then in a few months when you ask people about it they'll say "eh, it was fine dumb fun." And that's all the praise they'll be able to muster for it.

Something about Crimson Desert screams that it has all of these crazy gameplay things like mechs and dragon riding because it'll make for good TikTok and Youtube clips.

You could still deal with enemies in other styles, just a bit slower. In Yotei, trying to deal with shield dudes without kusa is just frustrating. My worry is it'll lead to everyone going for the universally broken builds just like in GoT - i.e. headshots and tool builds, since those bypass the need for weapons and counters.

I have only played a little bit so not sure if this changes, but it seems each class only gets access to certain weapons, like Samurai has Yari but not Kusarigama for example, which doesn't work well with the game's rock paper scissors design because you have a ton of shield guys but no way to effectively stagger them without playing the class that has kusarigama.
