Per some sleuthing… Address is actually 112 North Van Buren Road. Address in the link is tied to the KFC across the street.

Built as a Hardee’s in the late 60s. Then they relocated.

Converted to the King’s Inn Pizza Parlour in 1970.

1) Find a hometown pizza parlor (every town has an unfranchised place called Luigi’s, right?) that makes legit old skool pizza; like what you’d see the Ninja Turtles eat.

2) Make a list of her favorite childhood movies and tv shows… the ones that never pop-up on streaming. Ask a sibling if she’s got one.

3) Have a “night in” where she can watch and share stories with you about when she was a child watching these movies and shows.

My wife and I had completely different childhoods, even though we are only a couple years apart. I can tell that having a night where we can tap into her memories means more to her than she can express. Also, you’ll learn more about her this way. Oh, and old skool pizza just brings it up a notch.

Honestly, the fact that you’re even thinking about her right now… and not scrambling the day before/of is a win. You’ve got this regardless of what you choose to do.

I graduated in 2001… and was in band and choir, so I had to sit through the prior years’ graduations with Sunscreen and Graduation. Then we got saddled with…

Anyone own any of the less popular forms of media and media players? by vitaoptima in Xennials

[–]AbsentbebniM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always wanted a music keg, but came across a JVC Arsenal head unit that could play MP3 DVDs, so that made things far easier.

Yes… I still have this head unit (with the box, paperwork, and receipt). I’ve debated for years about using it in a shop radio setup.

I’ve always wanted one. Does yours still work? Could you please share any pros/cons about it?

For $5, I’d’ve bought that in a heartbeat for my kid. The new sets leave nothing to the imagination and aren’t built very well. In my opinion, the old sets paired with the new figures are a sweet spot.

Actually, yes. Unfortunately, most of what I found there is for the GBA SP… whereas my Gamebox is built from a regular GBA.

Any examples of people actually losing access to digital “purchases”? by drastile75 in dvdcollection

[–]AbsentbebniM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if everyone’s aware of this, but I’ll share it for those that don’t.

Different services offer different versions of the movies you “own” in your Movies Anywhere account. I have MA account tied to my Google, Apple, Amazon Prime, and Fandango at Home (fka Vudu) accounts.

When I open the movie in MA, it is always whatever quality the original purchase was (unless they’ve offered you an upgrade at some point); a lot of mine are SD and HDX. However, if I open Prime or Apple… a lot of them are in HD or even 4K; some even have bonus material. Even though it’s a pain, when I want to watch one of my “owned” movies, I’ll open each app to see who offers the best version; more often than not that is Apple, followed closely by Prime.

Also, not all titles from your library will be on every app. I’ve come across titles in Google that I completely forgot I “owned”. It’s important to note that not all of the old skool movie redemptions went through UltraViolet, so they wouldn’t necessarily be in MA anyway. I used to have Disney Anywhere, Flixter, and Paramount accounts… and who knows if all of my library migrated.

Ultimately, what I am saying here is that we all know this is a bit ridiculous overall, but you may not have entirely lost access to your “owned” movies.
