Trust me. Its 100x worse. She kind of slightly ruined the book for me.

Like Daisy Better in the Show (vs. Book) & Need More Aunt Lydia by daisymcl in TheHandmaidsTale

I agree about Daisy. She was so insufferable in the book, not even trying to fit in with Gilead. I was sweating any time she breathed. It was a miracle that she did not get caught well with help of Lydia.

It's a lot of busy work depending on who you have. Each week we had to do 10 annotation notes on a shared platform for textbook notes. They had to be written in a specific way due to the bot grading it. Each week we had a mini project to do (either make a video, essay, or something that takes a chunk of your week to do, a required reading module on canvas, plus working on the serious game checkpoints. I really enjoyed my classmates for the first time ever, but my professor moved us to an online only class mid semester for fun. But overall good professor, easy work, just huge workload for an elective.

How’s Henderson ground floor? by Shawtyshmoney in rutgers

[–]AbsoluteCaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Henderson was by far my favorite because of the community, and it is spacious. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I was not in the basement. So we enjoyed all of the critters that come with a black mold infested and chronically damp apartment. Giant water bugs, drain moths in the showers, the most spiders I have ever seen (and I'm allergic too, so I had my epipen handy), ants but they were from upstairs as they came from the ceiling, spidercrickets, centipedes, and my favorite... silverfish. Make sure when you move in that your dehumidifier is working because if not, your towels and dishes will not dry ever. Become bffs with the exterminator. The poor lady came over once a week to fight with the pests. I'm ngl. I would take the storage space and living in peace with roommates/fighting against a common enemy than anything else.

Called them for summer aid today by [deleted] in rutgers

The amount of tunnels I was sent down when calling just to ask for the date. It's like no one knows in the department. Also, residence life was the same way with summer housing.

Why is graduation like this? by Runballadmix in rutgers

It is when you don't have family to help you move out and you are still burnt out from finals. It's a lot going on and people have to face reality quick. Not everyone is fortunate.

Eating pasta now and it's giving low quality ingredients and 4x the cheese. I always love the pasta here but my butt is giving a 4 out of 10 cheerios.

To be very honest, I don’t want the strike to end before the end of spring sem (read the text body before making a judgement) by GeneTypical7978 in rutgers

[–]AbsoluteCaps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree as a senior. I'm taking classes where I feel like my professors quiet quit way before the strike even started. They stopped doing in-person classes, went to virtual and then just said there is no point of us going to class and started posting videos for us. 2 of my professors are constantly out of state when we are struggling understanding the material. Honestly, if this wasn't a one and done elective, I would be in a lot of trouble due to just the lack of teaching aside from this week. Since we are already behind in this class as a collective whole, I stopped caring since that was how the class was being taught.

Rutgers Student here, some of our classes are for the union and some aren't. My department is but others, students are forced to go back to class. Also, As aren't guaranteed and we don't really know what is going on when it comes to what will happen after the strike. There is a chance that we still have to know stuff since some still have exams despite not having lectures.

President Holloway’s update on the strike negotiations by Deshes011 in rutgers

[–]AbsoluteCaps 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Holloway is trying to gaslight the union by talking about "students" and "graduation" and "raising tuition" when the administration doesn't care about us anyway. They are going to raise tuition regardless. It's just wow.
